Description

Learn how to bounce back, cope better, and move forward with strength

Life doesn’t always go as planned, does it?  Disappointments, stress, change, and uncertainty are part of being human. Resilience is the skill that helps you recover, adapt, and keep going — without becoming overwhelmed or stuck.

This course teaches you how to respond to challenges with greater emotional balance, clarity, and inner strength. Resilience does not mean ignoring pain or “being strong all the time”. It means learning how to cope, let go, and grow through difficult experiences.

Why resilience matters

Many people are intelligent and capable, yet still struggle with:

stress and emotional overwhelm

disappointments and setbacks

anxiety, worry, or panic

conflict and difficult changes.

Resilience is a learnable life skill that helps you deal with these challenges in a healthier and more constructive way — both personally and professionally.

In this course, we explore:

What resilience really is and how it works in everyday life

The emotional and thinking stages people go through during setbacks and change

How to cope with disappointment and learn to let go

The key characteristics of resilient people

Practical ways to strengthen your own resilience for life

We also focus on:

Understanding stress and how it affects your wellbeing

Identifying your personal stress levels and stressors

Recognising the impact of stress on your health and functioning

In the final part of the course, we discuss:

Worry, anxiety, and panic — and how they develop

The difference between anxiety and panic

Practical ways to cope with worry and panic attacks

About the facilitators

This course is presented by Dr Ronél le Roux and Dr Rina de Klerk-Weyer, both with Ph.D. degrees and many years of experience in private practice.

We focus on preventative life skills — teaching tools that can be used before and during difficult times, not only afterwards. Our approach is practical, supportive, and grounded in real-life experience.

Building resilience can help you:

cope better with stress and uncertainty

recover more quickly from setbacks

feel more emotionally balanced and confident

improve relationships and communication

face challenges with greater flexibility and hope

Resilience supports both mental and physical wellbeing, helping you navigate life with more strength and stability.

A skill you can use for life.

Resilience is not something you either have or don’t have — it is something you can develop and strengthen over time.

This course offers you practical tools and insight to help you cope better, grow stronger, and move forward with greater confidence.

Who this course is for:

  • This course is for anyone who wants to cope better with stress, change, and life’s challenges, and build emotional strength over time. It is especially helpful for learners who: feel overwhelmed by stress, uncertainty, or constant pressure, struggle to recover after setbacks, disappointments, or difficult changes, experience worry, anxiety, or emotional exhaustion, want healthier ways to deal with challenges instead of shutting down or pushing through. You do not need to be strong, positive, or “resilient already” to take this course. All you need is a willingness to learn, reflect, and develop new ways of coping.
