As I went about making this painting, I had no clue what colors to use yet, and just focused on shapes and how they look and placement next to each other.

Now that I went through the painting and know what colors I used later to make the painting look good, I can tell you ahead of time to add this certain base color to the gritty mixture if you want to follow this color scheme. Before finishing shapes layout, sometimes you just don't know what colors you will use until getting through the process.
