Preparation is key to success in any venture, especially golf. Analysis of the shot at hand and the pre-shot routine allow you to prepare in an organized manner that also reduces the amount of information swirling around in your head. The more organized your conscious mind and the less information it has to process just before execution of the shot, the easier it is to establish a Zone Mindset and Access The Zone.
By the time you complete this lecture you should be able to finalize your preparation, having gone through an analysis of the shot and pre-shot routine. Finalizing your preparation by completely surrendering to your distant target so you access The Zone just before executing your shot. This should keep you Zoned in through the shot.

Hitting the ball well on the range doesn't ensure success while playing. There are significant differences between what you experience on the range and on the course that could affect how well you play.
Self-doubt, fear of failure, the pressure to excel, stress, anxiety, anger, exasperation, frustration, confusion, and a host of other painful emotions all trigger our fight-or-flight reflex. While this powerful, primitive, and instinctive reaction can save our lives if we are physically threatened, it wreaks havoc with our golf performance. In this lesson, you will learn why and how fight-or-flight destroys your performance, and more importantly, what you can do to stop it instantly.
This is a look back into my history and the influences that caused me to want to change the future of golf. It also looks at what golfers can expect the effects of new technologies will exert on how we learn and teach.
In this course, you will learn what The Zone is, what factors keep you from accessing this elevated mind state and most important, how to stop them from destroying your game. You will learn in the comfort of your home or office, making it easy to practice daily. This accelerates your learning process. Once you learn how to direct your attention to a single though, object, or point in space while disregarding all other internal and external stimuli, you then take you newly developed attentional skills to the practice range where you incorporate your attentional skills into your physical practice. The appropriate attentional skills help you develop your physical skills faster and easier. Finally, you learn to take that long walk from the practice tee to the first tee without transforming from Dr. Jekyll into Mr. Hyde so you play as well as you practice.
While the prevailing wisdom tells us we cannot will ourselves into The Zone or force Zone-like experiences, let me let you in on a little secret. Any golfer of any ability level, from novice to elite-level amateur or playing professional has the ability to access The Zone any time they want. But you have to learn how to control your thoughts and your reactions to the events unfolding when you're playing. To do that, you may have to learn how to create a single-mindedness in your attention. Because we constantly attempt to multi-task throughout our daily lives, we rarely, if ever limit our attention to a single thought. That is what you will learn to do in this course.
