Stress can negatively impact the body, mind and emotions. In order to reduce stress it is important to learn techniques to help the body to restore balance and energy. Also important, is being able to recognise areas in your life where you can make some adjustments to help free up time and energy into the longer term. This enables changes to go deeper and be longer lasting than simply attending a yoga class - though I do also recommend this!

Prolonged mental stress can cause trauma which can linger in the body and mind, reducing the joy in life, vitality and sometimes health. Even when a person is in a place of safety, their bodily reactions and mental processes may be such that they still feel this pressure. This can impact decision making, trust, future relationships and quality of life.
Some people may find when under prolonged stress, passivity or over-reaction which prevents a balanced response to life challenges and even positive events. This programme is designed to bring balance to body and mind through tried and tested tools and techniques.
Students are encouraged to explore teachings in the context of their own experience helping promote critical thinking skills, intuition and sound decision-making. This programme principally works through 3 tried and tested methods;
1. Simple Yoga body movement – releasing tension, awareness of posture and emotions, deep relaxation, the body’s story and re-connecting with the body.
2. Meditation and mindfulness (including loving kindness meditation) – begin to positively affect neurology of the brain to encourage health and healing.
3. Developing a foundation in core skills to help you protect your practice and energy in the short to longer term.
