Description

In this course you will learn 3 strategies/techniques that will change your way of thinking about problems, show you how to break unhelpful patterns and find a creative solution to any existing or future problems.

1. Creativity strategy - based on modelling successful people like Walt Disney, Leonardo da Vinci, Albert Einstein and others.

2.  Thinking outside of the box -  this technique is based on understanding how your brain represents a problem/issue. It is important to understand that we are individuals and so the representations of the problem will vary. There is no right or wrong representation and that's what makes this technique different and successful - it is based on YOU. Once you understand how YOU represent the Problem and how YOU represent the Solution you will know how to perceive  problems as new solutions. Please note this will take PRACTICE.

3. R.E.A.L.I.S.E. - is a goal setting strategy. What makes this strategy different? It teaches you to look at your goal from a different perspective. We will teach you how to ask yourself a variety of questions you didn't even consider but that doesn't mean that they will not play a major role in you Achieving the Goal that is Right for You.

5 lectures 22:27

The Creativity Strategy is based on people who were naturally good at turning their dream into reality. People like Walt Disney, Leonardo da Vinci, Albert Einstein to name a few. They had the ability to look at their dreams from 3 different angles, 3 different personalities; the Dreamer, the Realist and the Critic. Even large companies don't have the luxury to have all three personalities in every department, not to mention if you are a small business owner or a parent who just wants to get that dream holiday for the family.

The Creativity strategy will run in 2 sections.

In the first section (lectures 3-5) you will learn all about each personality and will have an opportunity to practise them.

In the second section (lecture 6) we will show you how to set the strategy up and how to apply it on any problem you looking to solve creatively, or on any dream you want to turn into reality.

+ Thinking Outside of The Box
1 lecture 05:22

The Thinking outside of the box technique is focused purely on You as an individual. In this lecture we will teach you how to recognise your own internal processes related to solving a problem.

You will work in 3 steps.

Steps 1 & 2 are related to your internal processes.

Step 3 is action based on those processes.

In Step 1 you will discover how you internally represent the problem by creating a Symbol - please note this would be different for each individual, there are no right or wrong  representations

In Step 2 you will  work with this Symbol of your problem and discover how you can  transform it into a Solution.

In Step 3 you will take action based on those internal representations and processes.

Here is a simple example.

Let's say that your problem is that you feel like you are constantly running round in circles and getting nowhere in your career.

Step 1 - The Symbol that you have given to this problem is a Hamster on a Wheel. You will now look around and think of advice you would give to this Hamster.

Step 2 - You begin to see that Hamster steps off the wheel and munches on some vegetables, than it goes wondering around and meets another Hamster - this is your internal representation of the Solution.

Step 3 - You apply this on your life and take action. You will step out of the situations that exhaust you, take regular rests and explore something new, it could be a new course, new book, new image etc.

You've got the idea.

Tip! This can be a revolutionary technique for some of you, please be open minded and go with it. Do not look for the logic in your visual representations, take it as it is and go with it. As mentioned before there is no right or wrong, good or bad, normal or crazy representation.

+ R.E.A.L.I.S.E Model
10 lectures 09:56

In this introduction we will introduce you to the goal setting model R.E.A.L.I.S.E. and explain why it is a powerful tool for setting, achieving  and celebrating your goals.

Introduction to The R.E.A.L.I.S.E Model
01:47

In this lecture you will learn about the differences between 2 steps of the model.

Step 1 R.E.A - present based - setting your goal

Step 2 L.I.S.E - future based - understanding how will your life change when you achieve your goal and whether you need to make any adjustments

In the following Lectures 10-16 we will cover each 'letter' into more details.

We have created an imaginary scenario when Roger is guiding Monika through the process of setting a goal.

This will allow you to gain a better understanding of the whole process.

Step 1 & 2
01:14

In this lecture you will learn all about Result, understanding what you want, how to formulate it. We will also cover what to avoid.

Tip! Remember to write everything down, do not skip the order of the 'letters'.

R.E.A.L.I.S.E "R"
00:41

In this lecture we will talk about Exactly what, when, where, how and with whom do you want this goal.  You will learn the importance of all the details. We will also cover what to avoid.

Tip! Remember to write everything down, do not skip the order of the 'letters'.

R.E.A.L.I.S.E "E"
00:49

In this lecture you will look at Action, considering all the steps you need to achieve your goal and formulate the plan. Taking into account any potential setbacks.

Tip! Remember to write everything down, do not skip the order of the 'letters'.

R.E.A.L.I.S.E "A"
01:07

In this lecture we will guide you to the future, when you have already achieved your goal.

You will discover how your Life would have changed now you've achieved the goal. What would you hear, see, how would you feel. It will encourage you to create 'before and after' scenario. Only by understanding the difference between those 2 scenarios you will have the proof that you've achieved your goal.

Tips!

Do not underestimate the importance of this step. We have worked with a person who wanted to loose weight, did not take any measurements before and after and although he's heard his friends making remarks about 'looking slimmer' he did not believe them, he thought they were just friends being nice.

How you experience the difference between 'before and after' scenarios has to be relevant to you. Some people have to 'see' the difference, some have to hear it from other people - there is no right or wrong.

Remember to write everything down, do not skip the order of the 'letters'.

R.E.A.L.I.S.E "L"
01:02

In this lecture we will guide you to the future to explore the true you - how achieving your goal affected your Identity. Are you being true to yourself or just pleasing other people?

Tip!

Note that it is possible to achieve the goal without being true to yourself but at the end you will probably not experience the moment of true satisfaction. The more you repeat this cycle of achieving goals that are not 'aligned' with you the more exhausted you will feel.

Remember to write everything down, do not skip the order of the 'letters'.

R.E.A.L.I.S.E "I"
00:42

In this lecture you will learn the importance of Short term celebration markers.

Tips!

Sometimes daily life can be challenging, although we can be very good planners, we cannot predict everything. Those small celebrations will help you recharge and keep you motivated. Account for time to celebrate those short term achievements, you deserve it.

Remember to write everything down, do not skip the order of the 'letters'.

R.E.A.L.I.S.E "S"
01:11

In this final 'letter' you will look at the bigger picture and do the Ecology checks.

Tips!

Even if you are a lone wolf you are still surrounded by people,  your neighbours, your customers, your boss, your competition and your environment.

The best way to long lasting success is to make sure that by achieving this goal you don't cause any 'damage'. You could easily find yourself in the situation where you won the battle but lost the war.

Remember to write everything down, do not skip the order of the 'letters'.

R.E.A.L.I.S.E "E"
00:54

We have included this lecture to emphasise the importance of all the steps.

Here you have a chance to check that you have completed all the 'letters' and kept a record.

It will also give you an opportunity to revisit some 'letters' should you need to.

Tip! Revisit the 'letters' regularly and don't be afraid to make changes. It doesn't mean that you are giving up on your dream, you are just being flexible and adaptable to change.
