In this lecture we will go through the class plan so you'll know the exact steps and exercises, as well as go through all the materials and conditions required.
In this lecture we will be warming up our hands and our minds, to prime them for a pressure free self-expression. You will be using the provided illustration to recreate or to reinterpret however you feel like. This works like a warm up before a workout, flexing the creative muscles.
In this lesson we will learn about the importance of breath and we’ll do a breathing exercise to help us self-regulate and to increase our emotional awareness, through the felt sense. We will also talk about how an experience is processed.
In this lecture we will get attuned to our bodies using the bodyscan method. A bodyscan is a practice which brings you in a slow and gentle contact with the sensations you feel in each part of the body. I will guide your attention through every part to invite the curious exploration of what information your body holds.
In this lecture we will be working with the technique of active imagination, a technique that bridges the conscious and unconscious mind by focusing on inner images, emotions, or dreams to foster dialogue with the unconscious.
I highly suggest doing the meditation only after going through the previous practices so it will be easier to access the state of flow to freely imagine and create.
In the lecture we will be sketching out and painting what we mentally visualised in the previous lecture.
In this lecture we will be using the provided Introspection Worksheet, which you'll find in Resources, to help us make sense of the drawing we've created.
In this lecture we will revisit the highlights of this class to make sure the key concepts and techniques are clear and that you can revisit them anytime you need a bit more connection to yourself!
As this is the final lecture I would also LOVE to hear what was the most important insight you got from this class!
If you enjoyed the lessons please give me a thumbs up and leave a review! This will help the class be more visible to other like minded people and will definitely encourage me to share more creative methods to manage our emotions!
If you have any questions, leave them in the Q&A tab and I will be more than happy to answer them for you!
Thank you sooo, so much for taking this class and going all in with me! It has been an honour to guide you and share my knowledge with you! See you in the next one!
Are you living mostly in your head? Do you ever find yourself "blank" when asked how you really feel?
In our fast-paced world, we often lose the connection between our minds and our bodies. We ignore the "butterflies" of excitement or the tension in our shoulders until they become too loud to ignore. But your body speaks a language of its own—and creativity is the bridge that helps you translate it.
I’m Antonia, an Art Therapist and Somatic Experiencing® practitioner-in-training, and I invite you to joind me for a transformative 60-minute journey into the self. This class isn’t about becoming a master artist or reaching instant enlightenment; it’s about alchemy. It’s about taking the invisible sensations of your inner world and giving them form, color, and meaning on paper.
What You Will Learn:
Through a blend of psychology and art, you will explore:
The Power of the "Felt Sense": Explore how your body signals emotions and discover your needs before your brain even finds the words.
Somatic Regulation: Master a specific breathing technique to soothe your nervous system and a body scan to build the "muscle" of self-attunement.
Active Imagination: Use a Jungian-inspired guided meditation to visualize your emotions as characters on a stage.
Intuitive Painting: Project your inner "play" onto paper without the pressure of aesthetics—focusing on truth over beauty.
Personal Symbolism: Learn to decode your art using an Introspection Worksheet to find what colors and shapes mean to you specifically.
Who This Class Is For:
Absolutely everyone. You don't need "artistic talent" or previous experience with meditation. This class is perfect for:
Creatives feeling blocked or disconnected.
Anyone on a healing journey looking for gentle tools for self-regulation.
Individuals who want to move from "thinking" their feelings to "sensing" them.
Materials Needed:
Two sheets of paper.
Your choice of medium: Crayons, markers, or watercolors.
The Introspection Worksheet (available in the Resources tab).
A quiet, cozy space where you can sit comfortably.
By the end of this class, you won’t just have a piece of art; you’ll have a deeper level of attunement to yourself and a toolkit of practices to help you navigate the world with more ease and awareness.
Let’s stop living only from the neck up. Let’s dive in!
