  • Singles 4's and 8's3:36

    Warm up by playing singles, four on the right, four on the left, then eight on the right and left, to dial in your singles on the drum pad.

  • Singles - Married Notes1:46

    Pair singles together to dial in the same hand action on both sides, avoid discrepancies and flam, and build precise, synchronized rhythms in the drum pad workout.

  • Singles Subdivision - 2bar4:38

    Master subdivisions and single strokes on the drum pad, counting through eighth notes, triplets, sixteenths, twenty-fourths, and 32nd notes to build precise rhythm.

  • Singles Subdivision - 1bar2:02

    Master singles subdivision by practicing one bar at a time, counting counts like one, two, three, four, and one and two, three and four for the drum pad workout.

  • Double Notes Over 16ths2:32

    Master double note singles and apply them to drum pad and kit patterns, practicing right-left sequences across four positions to build a tight, versatile groove.

  • Double Notes Over Triplets1:57

    Practice double notes over triplets on the drum pad, moving through first, second, and third positions. End with a bar of 24th notes and rhythmic counting.

Work on your hand technique over singles, doubles, paradiddles, accents and flams, working through various tempos and subdivisions to get you to the next level. There is also a section at the end with some of personal favourite creative drum pad patterns and a short trade/improvisation with your practice pad. Sheet music provided and play along style that will push your hand speed and overall ability. Exercises you can play anywhere, anytime on any surface. Each rudiment used works through various subdivisions so they become readily available within you repertoire. Each exercise is more than just that - they are patterns that apply everywhere on any kit - percussion or otherwise.
