Dr. Anya Hricko
I have spent a life time exploring the mysteries of how the body and mind connect to promote balance and well-being. I have done extensive personal and professional research on the power of the mind to affect the body and the latest research on how the body affects the mind. It has been my passion to assist others in reclaiming the wisdom of their bodies.
My professional career in body/mind medicine began early on as a dancer and movement therapist. I became fascinated by the healing powers of the body and pursued a long career as a massage therapist and a Reflexologist. I was on the leading edge of Reflexology receiving certification in the early 1970’s. I have been featured on radio, TV and in several publications. In my 40-year career as a Reflexologist, I have taught extensively and trained thousands of students to become certified Reflexologist, as well as many non-professionals to use this wonderful healing art to help themselves and others.
Knowing the power of how the body and mind connect to create healing, I pursued a doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialty in Somatic (Body) Psychology. Additionally, I received Certifications in Somatic Movement Therapy, Somatic Experiencing (Trauma Resolution therapy), NLP, Wellness Coaching and developed my own program in Body Wisdom Life Coaching.
I love teaching others how to connect with the healing power of their body, through self-care techniques such as Reflexology or learning about the power of embodiment and how to harness the body/mind connection to transform their lives.
