Instructor
I am Dr Gordana Kierans - consultant, author and TEDx Speaker. I have over 20 years of business experience at the interface between leading Business Schools and companies. During my career, I have worked with entrepreneurs, SMEs, multinationals, governments and NGOs, in Germany and world-wide. I have also worked with top academics in the area of the circular economy which inspired me to create this very practical hands-on programme to open the eyes for numerous opportunities in this field.
Originally, I was born and raised in Croatia but I lived for 25 years in other European countries (Italy, Germany, Belgium) before moving to China for few years. I completed all my studies in Germany, including my Doctorate. In addition, I am also an Alumna of the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education. My commitment to a more connected world was recognised and I was invited to deliver a TEDx Talk in the Netherlands.
Today, I am a Partner at MGT OPEN, a consultancy that focuses on Circular Economy, Communication and Leadership, as these three elements are important for the circular transition to succeed in a company. Our corporate clients are based in the European Union, the Middle East and Southeast Asia. I was also a Professor at the Shenzhen Technology University (SZTU) in Shenzhen, China where I taught Systems Thinking and the Circular Economy.
Additionally, I am also a storyteller and in my spare time I like to write stories (pen name Dana Petrović). My books are "Vana's Adventure with Mother Earth" (in English) and "Please Explain Life to Me" (in German).
