Description

The following video is intended to be an educational tool that features Wu Zhua style of tai chi as an activity to enhance wellness. These exercise therapies are generally considered safe, self-care approaches used to promote a healthy lifestyle. As always, talk to your health care provider if you are using or considering using any complementary health approaches so that they can help safely coordinate your care. Tai chi, which originated in China as a martial art, is sometimes referred to as “moving meditation”—practitioners move their bodies slowly, gently, and with balance. To enhance your training always seek instruction from a professional instructor.

This course is designed to give the student an insight to the art of Tai Chi. For centuries Tai Chi has been acknowledged as a way for people of all ages to build energy and increase agility, strength and balance. Practitioners focus on moving breath and body together in a series of graceful flowing motions. Despite the meditative feel of the flowing circular movements, Tai Chi is actually a very effective form of exercise. First time students almost always express surprise at how such a soft looking motion can feel like such a great workout! In this course you will get the basic breakdown of each motion so that if you wish you could do the set all by yourself without the video lesson. The course is setup in a way that will help you progress towards the full 8 minute set. However you can jump around any way you wish. Although there are multiple holistic health benefits, many physicians recommend Tai Chi for people who have fibromyalgia, arthritis, joint problems, auto-immune disorders, respiratory disorders, high blood pressure, or circulation problems. All this information completely free!
