Description

This is my MASTERCLASS in Cubase for students of all levels:) I present a unique 3-in-1 course covering the operation, production, and professional mixing of a musical piece titled "Lovin' You." Using parts recorded with a hardware synthesizer as an example, I cover the basics of audio editing and create a draft arrangement. I edit the imported vocal loops, correct their pitch, change their tempo, and add additional voices within a specified musical scale. I also convert the audio to MIDI to create a unique unison effect. While detailing the use of the Media Bay browser and the Groove Agent drum machine, I also introduce new elements to the project. A practical overview of the mixer and the procedures performed on the track is preceded by instruction in the onboard metering tools and Control Room configuration. In separate videos, I work on processing vocal, drum, and synth tracks, grouping tracks, keying them together, and applying send effects. The arrangement built during the course undergoes numerous transformations using the Arranger Track, transposition, and tempo changes. I convert sequences and vocal loops recorded using a hardware Arturia Mini Freak synthesizer into MIDI instruments, and enhance the whole experience with effects and phrases sampled from vinyl records. I also teach how to quickly and effectively manage the view of a complex project, quickly scale and scroll the arrangement view, use markers and keyboard shortcuts, perform operations on multiple tracks and clips simultaneously, as well as capture audio material and compare it with reference recordings and transfer entire groups of tracks between projects. I demonstrate a powerful offline operation mechanism that allows for the use of unlimited effects without additional CPU load. What better course than one that, while learning how to use it and providing a detailed overview of almost every area of the program, also allows you to see how a professionally produced piece is created in practice? Discover advanced Cubase features that will help you create more diverse and engaging arrangements faster! Don't waste time learning the program through trial and error! See how to harness its creative potential in practical action!!!
