About me
Maciej Polański – born in 1979, a sound engineer and music journalist. For over a decade now has been teaching music production and organizing mixing and mastering workshops at the Efektura studio in Warsaw. He lectured at Red Bull Music Academy, Audio Engineering Society conventions and many local festivals in Poland.
He began his musical journey with Casio synthesizers and computer trackers in the 1980s. As a teenager, he also learned to play the JVC jazz organ and improvisation techniques. He played keyboards with the Funky Trip Foundation and created electronic music as a Star Of 77 member.
As a sound engineer, he was involved in sound design, commercial post-production, and music composition for Poland's largest television stations (TVP, Polsat, TVN Turbo). He has also recorded voiceovers for radio and television commercials for major corporate clients such as Coca-Cola.
2009-2012 he was editor-in-chief of the biggest recording magazine for musicians and sound engineers in Poland: Estrada i Studio. He published nearly 3,000 pages of texts, including guides, interviews, and tests of music equipment and software. Founder of Polish only tutorial site Musoneo.
