On the average, human beings flex 3000 to 5000 times a day. There is a 300% increase in intra-discal pressure the first 3 hours of the day. Some of the facts about the spine is that about 80% of the adult population will have low back pain at some time, and 90% of the time low back pain is recurrent. The peak age of incidence of low back pain is 30 to 50 years old. 80% of the time neck and back pain will improve without treatment in 8-12 weeks. Therefore, the advice is that do not get stuck on a diagnosis, because studies show that patients are twice as likely. Around 90% of the population has bulging discs, which are synonymous with degenerative discs, and are not a problem.
Always remember that Elite Taping Techniques and methods have been designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process. Therefore, using the Taping Techniques to relief the spine pain and to adjust the postural deformities is a natural process of healing. You will find in this book the natural healing flow through several cases studies and techniques, which will help you to relive your clients’ back pain and postural problems. Amongst the total percentage of the taping applications almost 85% are for non-athletes, therefore it is important to learn how is it working.

By deciding to learn the Elite Taping Techniques and Methods you become directly connected to a powerful, divine healing tool. Taping is practiced all over the world by thousands, if not millions of Healthcare and Sports professionals. It is an absolutely safe and very powerful way of relieving pain source.
The 9 Taping Principles
Taping is the key that unlock the body’s optimum capabilities to heal by itself, there are 9 main structures that taping can treat.
*The Bio-Mechanical Adjustment*The Fleshy Tissue Adjustment
*The Synovial Adjustment
*The Ligament / Tendon Adjustment
*The Functional Adjustment
*The Circulatory / Lymphatic Adjustment
*The Muscular Adjustment
*The Skin Adjustment
* The Nerve Adjustment
* You will have a very special section for the most common "Sports Injury" for the knee join. You can not miss that section. You will experience the taping techniques and methods from the training room as if you were with us.
The concept of the biomechanical adjustment is to modify the joints mechanically to the normal functional movement as possible. The taping role here is to support the joint functions & range of motion without restrictions over the normal movements. Here are some examples of the Bio-mechanical adjustment Techniques & Methods.
The purpose of this technique is to reduce the patella friction movement over the tibiofibular joint. Usually that techniques can be use in osteo-arthritic changes, or patellofemoral joint pain. The recipients should not feel so much tightness in the knee movements and should be able to move the knee with a complete comfort and ease.
Myers contends, “You don’t have 600-some-odd muscles, as we’ve always been taught” “You have a single muscle with 600-odd stopping points, all linked by the fascial web.”
What is the role of Fascia?
Lateral line for body stability & Spiral line for body Balance
The concept of the synovial gap or interstitial space adjustment is to create a space underneath the skin to enhance and facilitate the healing process of the interstitial space structures. By creating a space underneath the skin the blood and the fluids flow gets a chance to move faster and smoother. And eventually that speed the healing process. This technique can be applied almost anywhere, but mostly in-between the joints junction.
The concept of the Ligaments or Tendons adjustment is to decrease the stress on the ligament or the tendon tissue to give them the opportunity to heal faster. The main function of the tape applications here is to support the injured ligaments or tendon and reduce the compression and the pressure effects and to take over that pressure instead. The tape working here as a brace to limit the joints movement to allow the traumatized ligament or Lendon to heal appropriately in a faster and safe manner. This technique can be applied over any ligament or tendon.
Furthermore, the main concept of the tendon adjustment is to stimulate the proprioceptive and the mechanoreceptors to decrease the stress on the tendon and ligament. In addition to produce a signal through the skin to the brain for perception of normal tension on target tissues. Perception of support through stimulation of mechanoreceptors, primary to support the injured tissue at the joint.
No stretching required at the target tissues (Ligaments). Stimulate the GTO – Golgi Tendon Organ for joint protection with stretching the target tissue (Tendon). Here are some examples of the Ligament / Tendon adjustment Techniques for a several body regions.

The concept of the Functional adjustment is to maintain the joint functional movement during the trauma or injury period. Utilizing the flexibility of the tape structure to eliminate the joints over movement to reduce the painful range of motion and enhance the healing process. The recoil effects of the tape material assist or limit the injured joint or hyper-mobile joint from the excess movement to prevent the tissue overstretch and re injured. By providing a sensory stimulation to assist and limit a motion. The application of the tape is applied through the movement of the injured joint. And that to increase the stimulation of the mechanoreceptors. Therefore, the tape works here as a bridge over the injured joints. Here are some examples of the Functional adjustment for a several body regions.
The concept of the circulatory and the lymphatic system adjustment is to manipulate the circulatory or lymphatic dysfunction. The main purpose of taping is to reduce the swelling dysfunction of the circulatory system and the edema of the lymphatic system dysfunction. The directional pulling action of the tape allows the exudate to travel to less congested areas through superficial lymphatic pathways.
The concept of the Muscular system adjustment is to support the injured muscles. The main purpose of taping for muscles is to reduce the muscles pain, ache, spasm, tenderness dysfunction.
The basic concept for muscles taping application is to support the injured muscle fibers by the natural recoil characteristic of the tape material. The application starts with the base of the tape and then to pull the rest of the tape either towards up (Proximal) or down (distal). Based on which direction the tape goes the recoil will be just on the opposite direction. As a matter of fact, that what identify the results of how the tape is going to work on the muscle fibers. We have two different reactions to that:
The concept of the skin adjustment is to smoothen the skin wrinkles, to enhance the collides formation speed, and to reduce the scare tissue development after skin burn. The main purpose of taping the skin tissue is to revitalize and flatten the skin tissue layers and to facilitate the skin healing process after skin cut, burn, and injury
The concept of the Nerve adjustment is to manipulates the Nerve fibers in either in-out or side by side directions. To reduce nerve pain and numbness or compression. Treating nerves compression and the cause of pain is the biggest challenge in healthcare. Taping have the abilities to decompress the nerve pressure or compression. Especially, if the compression is at the superficial layers of the soft tissue structures. The flexibility of the tape itself allow the application technique to decompress the soft tissue structures around the nerve, which makes the nerve mobilization and current flow moving easier and heal faster. The main purpose of taping the nerve tissue is to adjust the compression on the neural structure which causing the pain or tender
Things to Do Before the taping session
֍ Recipients’ skin should be clean, dry, and does not have any open wound.
֍ Explain to the recipients the all taping process before applying the tape on their skin.
֍ Assess the recipients skin, muscles, joint, and others soft tissue structures and decide to treat the cause and the source of their pain.
֍ Be generous when you cut the tape, obviously you do not want to run out of tape while you are working on a sensitive area. In another word you do not want to loosen your momentum while you are trying to support an injured sprain ligament or strain muscle.
֍ Make sure that the recipients’ skin not fragile or sensitive to the taping applications (diabetic, or elderly).
֍ Quick scanning the body movement before you start the taping application and after you finish.
֍ Do not apply the tape over active malignancy site, active cellulitis or skin infection. Over open wound, fragile or sensitive skin. Over DVT Deep Vein Thrombosis (Clots), skin reaction to the tape.
Things to Do After the taping session
֍ Make sure that the tape is nicely placed on the recipients’ skin.
֍ Rup the tape on the skin to activate it.
֍ Never use air plowed on the tape as it is dangerous on the skin texture and can lead to skin burn, and you do not want that to happen.
֍ Assure your recipients that to remove the tape if they feel discomfort or itch feelings or skin rash.
֍ Explain to the recipients that the tape is water proof so they can take shower or swim while the tape is in place.
֍ Usually the tape stays on the skin between 3-5 days.
֍ Ending the treatment by making sure that the tape is in place and the client understand that they can remove it whenever they feel like, so they do not have to keep it on their skin while it is itching or hurting them.
֍ Adjusting the tape after placement, Re-apply the tape if does not work, no worries your clients will understand that you are trying to do the best for them, but be careful while you remove it as some recipients might be quite sensitive to the tape during the removal.
What the recipients of taping feels and how you should respond?
The majority of people find that it is an extremely relaxing experience. Here is some of the common receipts feels after taping
“I felt warm”
“I could feel tingling in my fingers and toes”
“I felt lighter or heaver in my limbs”
“I did not feel anything”
To practice Taping, you need no special talent or expertise. You need open mind and passion to help others. While Taping is enhancing the natural healing of the tissue.
Response
A ‘healing response’ can occur in days or weeks following healing. Each person is different and so The Taping method can have different effects. A healing response is healthy sign, which usually last for about three days. It is quite important to drink plenty of water to wash off the toxins under the skin after the taping session as it increase the blood flow stream around that area.
Sometimes there is an acceleration of the condition following a treatment, and this is a positive sign that the Taping is working. During a treatment or shortly afterwards, it is possible that ‘old’ conditions may re-emerge. This is because the moving and rushing of the blood stream is breaking down toxins, which will normally disappear quite quickly. It is important to remember that Taping can never harm.
We have two different reactions to that:
