A reporter once asked a couple, "How did you manage to stay together for 65 years?" The woman replied, "We were born in a time when if something was broken we would fix it, not throw it away."
So how do you “fix” a relationship? The goal of this course is to answer that question.
This course is an introduction to The Melfox Method - an innovative 5-part program that
- Pinpoints the root cause of relationship issues
- Explains the proper role of shared information during conflict resolution
- Examines normal defensive reactions and how to control them
- Presents an innovative, proactive, one-on-one method of conflict resolution
- Outlines the benefits of effective conflict resolution in all areas of your life
By any standard, the extent of failed and failing relationships has been at epidemic proportions for quite some time now. This is easily demonstrated by the track record of the huge group of people who took a solemn vow to stay together forever. Even with all of the initial dedication, devotion, and pressure to remain intact, around 50% of all marriages end in divorce, with the rate rising at least 10% with each subsequent marriage.
And what about all the unhappy marriages that would mercifully end if not for situational circumstances? Since they haven’t figured out how to fix their relationship with each other, many couples feel emotionally imprisoned. They stay in a miserable, often mostly sexless marriage just because they feel financially trapped, don’t want to upset or leave their children, or simply don’t want to be on their own.
Of course, deteriorating relationships do not plague only married folks. Partners in any kind of relationship will suffer the same fate until they learn the root cause of relationship issues, and how to resolve them. Although some people may instinctively understand the principles of successful conflict resolution, the vast majority of us have not been properly and effectively taught how to “fix” our relationships.
Enroll now, and start detoxifying (and saving) your relationship.
By the end of this course, you will have the knowledge and tools to resolve any and all conflicts with your partner and restore your relationship, without the typical roadblocks that we have all no doubt experienced. You will be provided with step-by-step instructions on zeroing in on the real causes of relationship problems, and how to pull them up ...by the roots!
This course for restoring healthy relationships is designed like an instruction manual of a game or sport. You will be taught the challenge and goal, the offensive game plan, how to regulate your normal and natural defensive reactions, techniques and strategies on effectively executing the game plan, and the expected results and benefits when doing so.
The ideal student for this course is anyone who wants to fully understand the real causes of relationship problems and how to effectively get rid of them. As the problems are resolved, the attraction, trust, and respect you have for your partner are naturally restored. There are no requirements necessary to enroll. We only ask that you come open-minded and ready to learn.
After learning and applying the simple yet powerful lessons, you will be able to look at detoxifying your relationship in the same way as cleaning your kitchen, without sweeping any issue under the rug. No compromises, no sacrifices, and no forgiveness needed. You will learn how to simply remove the toxic barrier that naturally develops between you and your partner over time, restoring and even enhancing the original attraction, trust, and respect.

Joseph Jay Mellon is a Certified Marriage Educator (CME) through the National Marriage Centers, in association with the National Premarital Institute. He has conducted countless interactive lectures about The Melfox Method and effective conflict resolution.
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Joe is a trained problem solver with professional experience as an engineer, reconciliation specialist, and systems manager. As a plaque on his wall says, an engineer’s responsibility is to “list the questions, gather the facts, and solve the problem” – an approach that also applies strongly to his take on personal relationships.
Mellon’s passion for the subject of conflict resolution was born from a burning desire to fully understand what causes relationships to fail, and why. That desire led him on an exhaustive expedition of research and learning that became the foundation of his book, Curiosity Killed The Spat: The Melfox Method for Relationship Health through Effective Conflict Resolution.
The Resentment Dumpers is an organization dedicated to helping people restore their relationships by effectively resolving conflict.
The Resentment Dumpers was born out of a burning desire to understand what went wrong in our respective intimate relationships and how to avoid the same mistakes in the future. It all started with the simple concept that resentment is the enemy, not your partner. That tiny ember grew into the raging fire of relationship comprehension we call The Melfox Method.
