Greetings! I'm Nevine Nasser and this is a little video introducing myself, so we can meet, connect and share intentions for the course.
I'd like this to be an experiential journey for you, through the meanings embodied by the simple yet profound qualities of number and shape viewed through the lens of the science of sacred geometry. Which we can all experience and participate in.
Please join me by completing the exercises in the Worksheet, after spending this time centering ourselves through meditation and setting an intention that is both practical (ie. committing to completing the modules!) but most importantly, spiritual, so that we as individuals are willing and open to experiencing and integrating the knowledge explored in our innermost selves.
Enjoy the journey!
In this section, we begin to tell The Story of Creation in the language of number and geometry. We begin to see the depth of meaning that is possible by contemplating simple forms such as the circle. We experience the transcendent and universal qualities of number and shape as we weave our own narratives of meaning into the story. We understand the personal benefit of participating in this art form.
In this section we explore meanings of "0" and "1" in The Story of Creation. We contemplate possible meanings of the blank canvas, the centre point, the radius, the circumference and the vertical and horizontal axes. We begin to appreciate the depth of meaning that becomes possible by contemplating simple forms such as the circle.
You will find several additional resources including 2 videos and an illustrated practical worksheet; Section 2 Worksheet
As we continue on to the next stage of The Story of Creation, join me for a discussion on meanings of the number 2 and the quality of twoness.
You will also find an additional instructional video and an illustrated practical worksheet; Section 3 Worksheet
We continue to the next stage of The Story of Creation, "threeness" and explore its meanings and manifestations. We explore the triangle and learn to construct it using compass and straight edge in the Section 4 Worksheet.
We naturally move on to "sixness" and "twelveness" showing their close connection to "threeness", both philosophically and practically.
We naturally move on to "sixness" from threeness. In this lecture, we explore the meanings and manifestations of sixness spiritually and in nature. We learn to construct sixfold patterns using compass and straight edge in Section 4 Worksheet 2.
We naturally move on to "twelveness" from sixness.
Progressing naturally to "twelveness" from sixness, in this lecture we explore meanings and manifestations of the number 12. We learn to draw a twelve pointed star rosette using compass and straight edge in Section 4 Worksheet 3.
Returning to Fourness, we now explore the meanings and manifestations of the number 4 as the next stage of The Creation Story after number 3. We learn to construct and contemplate a dynamic and static square using compass and straight edge in Fourness Worksheet 1.
In Cosmogram Worksheet 2, we also learn to construct a "Cosmogram" and contemplate its meaning.
Fourness naturally leads to Eightness. This lecture will explore the relationship between two interlocking squares that give rise to an octagon and their associated symbolic meanings.
In the Breath of the Compassionate Worksheet, we draw the beautiful and profound pattern known by that name in Islamic sacred geometry and we contemplate its meaning.
In this lecture we will explore the meanings manifestations of the number 5 and the quality Fiveness. We will study the golden ratio as a blueprint for life and its inherently transcendent quality.
In this lecture we will explore how Tenness naturally emerges from Fiveness as well as the meanings and manifestations of the number 10 and the quality Tenness.
Congratulations on completing the course! This video is a concise summary of The Story of Creation through number and shape as presented in this course.
A farewell video from me.
Stay tuned for future courses!
In peace,
Nevine
Join me, Dr Nevine Nasser, on a transformational journey exploring the meaning of life using the language of sacred geometry. We will explore the philosophy of sacred geometry that describes reality/the universe as unfolding from a transcendent origin, in the same way as a pattern unfolds from a centre. We will see how nested geometric shapes and ratios underlie the fractal order of the natural world and the cosmos.
We will also learn some history and share illustrated examples from the natural world and from sacred architecture that demonstrate the pinnacle of this art form.
We will learn to draw simple geometric shapes using compass and straight edge, as well as more complex sixfold patterns, such as "the seed of life" and "the flower of creation". We will also explore eightfold patterns such as "the breath of the Compassionate" as well as "cosmograms". Each section of the course contains practical worksheets that will unlock your creativity and allow you to spend as long as you like drawing shapes and patterns.
Through these practical exercises, you will experience how sacred geometry can be used as a tool not only for contemplating the nature of reality, but also for self-reflection. Sacred geometry can help us to refine our characters and to align ourselves to the order of nature and the cosmos, finding meaning, purpose, equilibrium and flow in our lives.
The knowledge presented in this course is a distillation of over 15 years of research and practice up to doctoral level, delivered by a professional architect specialised in sacred architecture. It is presented in a simple and concise way to help you learn the fundamentals of sacred geometry whilst experiencing its transformative effect. This course goes beyond gaining new information, it aims to transmit profound knowledge that becomes fully integrated through practice. The methods taught are based on traditional techniques passed down through the ages through unbroken chains of traditional arts practice all over the world, finding its source in the ancient Pythagorean tradition.
The course is arranged in 7 sections, with video lectures, practical worksheets and additional supplementary material.
Please do reach out if you have any questions, I would love to hear from you!
