Nursing is so unique! Nurses are needed in every aspect of the healthcare system. That is why there are so many different pathways you can take in nursing!

This portion of the course is to get you thinking about you potential interests and how you plan to get there.
This course is an exciting opportunity to enter a healthcare career having a basic understanding of what lies ahead each step of the way as you plan to become a successful registered nurse! Many nurses have absolutely no idea about the opportunities that exist outside of their own department! In addition, the average nursing student has absolutely no understanding what nurses actually do. Informed decision making is the key to success as a registered nurse. Without the proper information, you could be entering a career with extra unnecessary debt, potential unnecessary stress, lower than expected salaries and benefits, and limited knowledge about self-care as a healthcare professional. Selecting a career path that provides you with joy AND a livable income is important to consider when thinking of your projected career/nursing direction. This course is intended to provide a glimpse of these considerations to be made when entering, navigating, and completing nursing school. It is HONEST & very LAID BACK. Furthermore, it provides information on how to continue through your career! From lectures to advice to worksheets for planning... you are guaranteed to obtain the basic tools necessary when preparing for a career in nursing!
This course is taught by a nurse educator with 10 years of experience teaching in either nursing schools or acute care setting providing faculty development courses for other nurse educators, physician faculty, and faculty from other multidisciplinary professions.
