This course emphases not the exact materials, but generally at a live drawing session people will use charcoal because it's lightweight and versatile. However, the materials I like to use vary and wanted to demonstrate that daily with this mini gallery while I was writing up the outline for the course you are now watching.

Color is not required; our focus is on black-and-white media to emphasize form and contrast. Come prepared with an open mind and a clean workspace where you can fully engage with the course content. If you prefer standing while you work, investing in a French easel can be beneficial. By the end of this course, you'll have the skills and confidence to create stunning portraits that truly capture the human spirit.
