Description

A proven, structured process for you to address your steep learning curve as you move into a new role, company or sector. This course is based on what I created for myself to support me in my multiple role changes - changes in geographical scope, function, industry and moving from a people manager to a leader of teams and a leader at board level. There is some theory covered in the course on learning, but essentially this is a course that is bespoke to you. You have the opportunity to learn, reflect, take what works for you and leave anything that doesn't serve you well in your journey.

The course is divided into 5 sections:

1) Introduction and Closure: Here you learn about the structure of the course and how it will work. You then move on to some practical ways to seek closure from your old role before you move to your new one.

2) Design: Here you cover a bit about learning theories as well as how you could understand and evolve your own learning approach and create a learning agenda for the new role. All the templates that are useful in this course are available to download in this section.

3) Execute: This is the meaty section  where you start fleshing out your learning agenda and start building 90-day plans. I have recommended and provided illustrations of 90-day plans for industry, company, function/technical expertise and people.

4) Evolve: This is about reviewing your plan, seeking feedback and making an assessment of where you are and what needs to be tweaked to make it more effective.

5) Post-Honeymoon: Learning doesn't stop in 90 days. This section will help you think through your approach post the honeymoon period and also work through some broader systemic considerations as a leader.

Who this course is for:

  • Leaders and people whose role involves independent thinking and autonomy
