A network operations center (NOC) is a central location where computer, telecommunications or satellite network systems are monitored, controlled, configured and managed 24/7. It acts as a bridge between technical units and between technical and non-technical units. The NOC is the single point of contact for technical and non-technical teams regarding network operations. The NOC assumes responsibility for the operation and owns it.
The training was prepared to explain NOC (Network Operation Center) phases (Solution, Transition, Transformation, Continuous improvement) and provide leassons learned for each pahases. The scope of the training includes key success factors for phases, the organizational structure of the Network Operations Center (NOC) (L1, L2 and other units), practices, the tools used , the governance model, and transformation solutions for effective and efficient operations (centralization, consolidation, automation, GNOC, SOC and convergence).
