Well, it is a good question, right? Why do you need to learn how to build rapport, when everyone believes, they can do it without a course?
But not everybody feels comfortable immediately. Sometimes, we feel awkward. So here you have a good reason, why you want to build rapport.
And there are more reasons. How about being able to "conquer" the room to get to know the person that you want to meet?

There is a neurological basis for the process of building rapport with NLP methodologies and techniques.
In NLP, we say that the way someone moves the eyes indicates their way of thinking. While not everybody agrees with this statement, it is a model of thinking in NLP, and very helpful in dealing with people and building rapport.

Let me introduce you to another part, on how you can build rapport with another person. We all communicate, but we all have a different style and preference for communicating in a certain manner.
Here you learn, that the different groups discussed earlier (Visual, Auditory etc) have a preferred way of speaking. Knowing this specific way of speaking, you can deepen the rapport with the other person in very subtle manner and connect even deeper.
