While there are many ways to monetize your skills online, here's an example of how putting your skills and knowledge in a book can open doors to speaking engagements, coaching clients, more products, and more income streams.

In this example, I was invited to speak at the National Hispanic Professional Organization (NHPO) education event when one of the board members got a hold of my book, Monetize Your Skills (a copy is attached below). The book opened the doors, and I was able to sell my other books and products in the back of the room, as well as a private workshop I hosted the following week. This strategy allowed me to make more revenue from this event than the event organizers themselves.

REMEMBER:

• If you don't have a book, you're leaving money on the table!

• If you don't have a book, you're missing out on opportunities to get high caliber clients, speaking and consulting gigs, premium checks, and expert authority positioning.

• But if you do have a book, the real money is made from the business the book creates and generates, (not necessarily by trying to sell a ton load of copies).

Case in point:

• I made more from this gig (and similar events) from just a handful of private clients who signed-up (in the back of the room/at event tables) for my private workshop, coaching, and courses than from the many who bought books at the event table. That's the power of my Book-to-Business™ model.

That's why my motto (when it comes to digital publishing) is:

EVERY professional, entrepreneur, speaker, coach, consultant, ministry leader, manager, and educator needs to have a book!
