Here are some of my favourite books for pregnancy and beyond.
You don't need to buy any of them, but they are great resources to have if you want to go deeper into learning about how to support yourself during pregnancy, while also offering some great information on supporting your baby through the first few weeks, months, and even years.
Fear Tension Pain can lead to Failure to progress. This is where it is important to Education, Relax, and Cope to help stop and avoid the FTP.
Watch this peaceful birth. And listen to the interview after where she briefly mentioned the difference between how she feels after this birth compared to her first birth.
We will go over how to recognize our feelings post-birth, but remember that each recovery will be different and feelings will be different after each birth too.
This birth video has so many great things to consider.
Even when you notice that labour has started, you often still have time to do many things. I love that they went to eat breakfast, did some shopping, walked the park. They arrived at the hospital when they wanted to go.
Notice how she listens to music/hypnosis/meditation...something at one point.
She is doing purple pushing, but that's ok too. We talk about breathing baby down and purple pushing. The nurses were great cheerleaders for her.
Take some time to reflect on what were your big takeaways from this birth.
Here are your positive pregnancy affirmations. Listen to this daily if you can. While you fold the laundry, wash the dishes, do housework, go for a walk etc.
This will be an important tool to train your mind how amazing your mind and body are and that you really are made for this pregnancy and birth!
You can download this to your phone or mobile device to help listen to it anywhere!
This Positive Pregnancy Hypnosis is for you to listen to daily.
This is a vital part of the course. It will really allow you to train your brain to relax, to be calm and focused. This way when it is your birth day, you can listen to this, and you will instantly go right into the calm relaxed state without having to really try as your brain will already associate the hypnosis with it being a calm time.
This is ideal from the start of pregnancy to 3rd trimester. There is another one that is geared to the final part of pregnancy to help prepare you more for birth. However, both can be listened to at any time.
You can download this and play it from your phone at night, or any time during the day when you can take a few minutes to just tune in for you.
The Empowered Birth hypnosis is for your 3rd trimester until birth. You can listen to this at night just before going to bed, or any time throughout the day. It is best if you can listen to this daily.
This hypnosis will help remind your subconscious that you are made for this, your body will know when it is time for birth, and that you can have your best birth.
You start to visualize your body opening and bringing baby down, baby coming earthside and being able to meet baby at last.
This is a good hypnosis to listen to while in labour to help stay calm and relaxed.
Watch Helena's peaceful water Hypnobirth.
Look at her expression, how to breathe through her surges, and how she works with her body and baby.
Jane's live birth vlog is so empowering. Watch how calm, and peaceful she is while bringing her baby earth side.
This beautiful birth is from YouTube.
She is delivering a frank breech baby at home, so this is bum first to come out.
Take notice of how calm, happy, and amazed she is, and everyone around her as well.
Something about this song that I am drawn to. The repetition, the drumming, the powerful words all leave me with a sense of being strong.
Here is a great gentle workout for anyone who has been cleared to start easing their way back into activities. Again, I want to stress that this is NOT needed. You do NOT need to do this, but I know it is something that often comes up in this time.
I really liked her reminders and tips for making sure that you are being gentle with your body and diastasis recti.

This is a really good gentle workout for after a c-section.
She has a lot of great information and resources.
Again, no one needs to work out after baby, this should not be your focus, but I know many like to, so wanted to include an idea of a gentle workout.
