In this section we dive deeper into the concept of awareness and how to use it it to understand how we show up during communication. We will focus on 4 main communication styles, reviewing the pros and cons of each style:
Direct/Assertive
Friendly/Diplomatic
Quiet/Reserved
Thoughtful/Analytical
In this section we will learn how intentions can enhance or impede our ability to positively connect during communication and what are some of the ways we display our intentions. It's important that you are aware if your intentions fall into these 3 categories:
Unclear Intentions
Bad Intentions
Good Intentions
In this section we will focus on bringing empathy and understanding to our interactions with others. Discovering how good word choices generate positive outcomes and deepen understanding. Understanding the emotional weight of unfortunate word choices and staying aware of the word choices you employ to get your point across.
In this section we focus on not agreeing. When you don't agree with another does not mean that the communication was not successful. We explore how to hold space and allow for disagreements though active listening, empathy, allowing physical space, and seeking common ground.
This is the final section of our course. We wrap up emphasizing the important take aways to keep in mind as you practice mindful communication in your every day life.

Learn the four main communication styles, discover your own, and understand how it enhances or breaks down communication.
Better appreciate the context surrounding an interaction, such as timing, mood, and non-verbal cues, and know when and how to engage in important conversations.
Practice self-regulation to become less reactive and more empathetic during difficult or challenging conversations, allowing you to see solutions more clearly.
