- In this video, I show you a flexibility drill you can do with a partner to open up your tight hips, improve your flexibility, and improve your mobility for high kicks. This is a classic Kyokushin Karate drill that we use in training
- Always start slow with this drill and understand your pain and stretch threshold. The point of the drill is not to get you into a split in one go. It is a matter of building up to it, holding the stretch for a while, and stretching/opening up your tight hips. As I explain in the video, it is also imperative that your partner understands exactly what he or she is doing so as to avoid injury

As far as I know, Kyokushin Karate has not been introduced to certain parts of the world enough to popularise it to its maximum potential yet.
