It has been produced from the perspective of those working (or aspiring to work) within Medical Affairs, and aims to describe and summarise these functions with respect to workstreams, projects and alliances that typical exist between these departments.

The module provides a summary of drug life cycle management, along with the role of sales and marketing in successful commercialisation following launch. The module provides an overview and purpose of the ABPI, its associated ABPI code of practice, and the function and duties of the PMCPA.
This module provides an overview regarding the rationale and purpose for materials review and approval, along with its relevance and contextualisation to the ABPI code of practice. It introduces the process in which materials and activities are typically reviewed, approved, disseminated and stored within Digital Asset Management (DAM) software platforms such as "Veeva Vault PromotMats". This module is aimed at those wishing to better understand the review and approval process from the perspective of Medical Affairs, and inclusive of its relevance and importance to the ABPI code of practice.
This module provides an introduction to health economics, the UK health care system structure, and the way that treatments and medicines are assessed via Health Technology Appraisals by healthcare policy makers and commissioning groups such as NICE. The module provides this overview from the perspective of the Medical Affairs team, and is aimed at upskilling aspiring candidates regarding the involvement of Medical within these associated projects.

Some modules (such as Health Economics) are written to bring all candidates to the same level of understanding irrespective of background and experience. There will therefore be some sections where the detail of the module begins at a basic level, before advancing into more detail .
