The Voicemaster Course gives you the rules for speaking more persuasively, which in turn gives you confidence and allows your natural personality to shine. The result? Your listeners will have more confidence in you and what you say.
There is no doubt that learning how to speak professionally will make a significant difference to your success, whatever your job.
A piano can be played by instinct, but if you want to be a concert pianist, you will need to learn a technique. In a similar way, your voice is an instrument, so by learning a technique, you will be more confident and persuasive when communicating your ideas. The Hudson Voice Technique is a systematic process that teaches you how to use your voice as a precision tool and enhances memory retention.
Created by the late Steve Hudson, the Voicemaster Course is a powerful structured technique that has a permanent affect, so there is no doubt that it is one of the most important tools you can learn.
We are dedicated to your growth, offering personalised coaching, engaging group sessions, and flexible courses. Letʼs unlock your voice together!
The course is on video and a study guide is provided for you to print.
The course will take about 2 weeks total (20 minutes a day), depending on your input.
Before you start the course, we ask you to record your 'Before' recordings and keep them to one side. This is to establish your starting point.
You then go through each lesson, guided by Steve. Practice until you're confident and then move on to the next one.
As you go through the course, you need to record yourself so you can listen back and correct anything that's not quite right.
Once you practised all lessons, you need to record the same scripts you recorded before you started the course. These are your 'After' recordings.
Now you will hear how much you have improved.
Other benefits of this course:
You will have greater confidence when giving presentations at school or work and job interviews.
Study time will be reduced because this course enables you to retain more information -quicker.
Reduce your accent if applicable.
Who this course is for:
- This course has been created for aspiring voice over artists. It is also a good refresher for those who are already in the business.
Instructor
The late Steve Hudson founded Voicemaster International in London 1995 and was joined by Esther Roberts in 2003.
Steve was a communication skills trainer for over 30 years and an international award-winning voiceover and television presenter for more than 50 years. He won a number of awards for production and performance.
Steve firmly believed that everyone has the potential to be a voiceover artist; they just need to be trained in a voiceover technique. People do not become good actors, golfers or surgeons without learning a professional technique. That's why the Hudson Voice Technique is so important to anyone who would like to sound more confident and persuasive.
Esther Roberts, now director of Voicemaster Internationalwas born in Netherlands. She relocated to the UK in 2003 to join Steve and Voice Master. She graduated as a social worker in 1999 and spent three years at the Triton Foundation before pursuing her passion for language education. In 2004, she earned her ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) qualification from the University of Cambridge, all while continuing her collaboration with Steve.
Over the following years, Esther became an invaluable asset to the team, serving as Steve’s right-hand ‘man’ in the office. She managed administrative tasks, maintained the website, recorded voiceovers, developed new courses, and provided essential support during training sessions.
Following Steve’s passing in 2024, Esther took the helm of the business. She remains committed to evolving the courses and fostering partnerships across India, Saudi Arabia, the USA, and Europe, ensuring the legacy of Voice Master continues to thrive.
Reprint from the TV Times
If TV commercials were to have a cast list at the end, Steve Hudson’s name would be known to millions. Instead, the man who poses the question “Who knows the secret of the Black Magic Box?” is a bit of a mystery man himself. A familiar face behind a well known brand name identity. He was the on-camera spokesman for Gallo Wine.
You’ve heard him as Superman when he chased the evil Nick-o-tine across your screens in the famous million dollar anti-smoking campaign and in the Old Spice adverts he tells you it’s “The Mark of a Man”. His voice advertises many other products including Martini, Ford, Shell, Guinness and milk on Swiss television! He has recently narrated the video games 'Nero' and 'Warhammer Quest'.
He can also be heard regularly on Radio 5 South Africa and Radio 3 Tokyo, and is the Voice of Rock on 100FM Pakistan and many American Stations. You’ve seen him in various campaigns, from Harp Lager to Drifter Chocolate, and he appeared as Signor Tonino in a £2 million advertising campaign selling Tonino wine.
Steve was trained at the National Theatre in London. During this time he came close to real stardom when Cubby Broccoli was casting for the lead role in James Bond movies; Steve said he lost by an eyebrow (and a few million pounds) to Roger Moore.
Steve has enjoyed working with and interviewing many stars and celebrities, including Frank Sinatra, Roger Moore, the Duke and Duchess of Bedford, Miriam Margolyes, David Bailey, Hulk Hogan, Pele and Tracey Ullman.
