Welcome to Embodiment Tools for Anxiety Relief!
In this course, you will learn powerful tools and techniques to find clarity, relieve stress, and even change beliefs that aren't serving you.
The direction of our life is defined by our beliefs. Limited beliefs can keep us trapped in the past and away from our natural joy, bound to fear- thinking it will somehow keep us safe.
Consistent habits and rituals have the power to release negative beliefs we are holding and replace them with beliefs that serve our greatest good.
This is why we hear about getting into alignment, or flow state. Flow state is more powerful than willpower. Using willpower to move through life can only get us so far- getting aligned sets the foundation to carry us the rest of the way and allows us to enjoy the journey much more.
When we are in connected to flow the world around us tends to unfold in a way that seems more effortless, as if the right things, people, places and opportunities appear in perfect timing for us.
Together we will begin the process of rewiring limited beliefs through powerful alignment practices you will learn in the upcoming videos and resources.
While I recommend committing to the video practices daily, be sure to take your time with the exercises in the resource section, as they go deep into the subconscious.
Drink lots of water (as we’re moving a lot of energy) and give yourself permission to feel and allow any emotion to fully move through you.
Tools you'll need:
1. a notebook
2. something to write with
3. dedicated time for the course practices
Let's go!
The most important thing to remember while going through this course is we are here to have fun!
If you’re a self help junkie like me you may have a tendency to want to go DEEP in the rabbit hole right away - which isn’t necessary to complete this course.
While I recommend going through the modules in order - you don’t need to complete this course in one sitting.
In fact, I recommend you take your time and build up to the practices - do one consistently before adding another ritual.
This will give your brain the proper time to build new neural pathways and lay down the foundation for your success with this course.
We're going to have a great time together. The main intention is to create space in your life for more joy, ease, happiness and bliss. You are a divine being and it is your birthright to experience these states, frequently :)
The more we intentionally create uplifted feelings the more able we are to raise our baseline emotion - meaning we can increase our frequency and live more harmoniously - connected to our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual body.
Why is Alignment Important?
If we haven't defined WHY alignment is important- then this is our first step in getting clarity!
Alignment helps us to feel good - we can be our best selves when we are aligned, then use this energy to reach our goals and desires.
In the notebook provided, I invite you to define your sacred code.
What is a sacred code? It is a framework of your personal values and how to live in integrity with them.
Getting clear on our values makes it so much easier to embody them- and know when we are stepping out of integrity.
Look at your sacred code as a roadmap to living in your highest alignment. You can check the lesson resources for more inspiration on what a sacred code looks like.
The Quantum Field
Our universe is an electromagnetic field where everything imaginable potentially exists.
Imagine it like a womb- consisting of innumerable possible worlds. Each possible world begins as an electron that represents infinite versions of reality and timelines. Once the electron is focused upon, it collapses into a particle that now has the potential to manifest.
What the heck does this mean? It means that you have access to infinite possibilities - because infinite different versions of YOU exist as potential particles now.
In the quantum exists all the possibilities of your life.
Nothing is stagnant or stays still because energy and consciousness is always moving.
Everything is a vibration- from your physical being, to the objects around you.
The frequency we vibrate at is what we will be a match to. (check out the scale of consciousness chart in module one resource section to find the highest frequencies!)
As we become more conscious, we become more aware of the choices that we have.
Taking a quantum leap implies a major shift in the outcome of one's life.
When we connect to different paradigms, as in, different ways of thinking, we realize we can consciously choose our reality.
By expanding our consciousness, our awareness, we are granting ourselves access to better life outcomes.
Forming Habits and Creating Space
Why do rituals matter? Because they are the bridge to getting what you want!
Habits make it possible to reach your goals.
We need to create space for ourselves in three ways to form new habits:
1. Physically
2. Mentally
3. Emotionally
Physically, this looks like setting aside uninterrupted, intentional time each day to create healthy habits. Carving out time for these rituals is essential! What does sacred solo time look like to you?
Mentally, most of the thoughts we have each day are actually looping, as in 99% of what we think is recycled from the day before! Creating space in the mind allows us to shift into healthier patterns. This can be achieved through practicing focusing the mind- which we will get to do in the daily exercises.
Finally, the emotional body contains all of your past conscious and unconscious wounds and pleasurable moments. It is very powerful, because when you attach feelings to thoughts you send out a stronger vibration.
When we clear the emotional body we become aware of our reactions and how much of the time we are actually running on autopilot.
Our subconscious mind will attempt to protect us through these automatic responses (known as an ego defense). Lower emotions such as fear and self doubt are deeply embedded in the subconscious and we must gain awareness of them and feel them fully in order for them to be transmuted into higher emotions such as love, self empowerment, joy and confidence.
Raising your Frequency
Let’s clear the old and bring in the new!
There’s two ways reprogramming shifts you into a higher state. And oftentimes they can and do happen at the same time!
First, the lower vibrations in our body and nervous system begin to become conscious and then clear away, and then we can reach new states of happiness, joy and bliss through intentional practices.
The reprogramming exercises that you will learn in the following modules, along with deeply feeling and allowing your feelings to be expressed, will enable your emotional body to thrive.
Raising our frequency is the quickest way to being in alignment. It’s as if a veil has been lifted from our eyes and we can see the world more brightly.
This is when we become a match to higher frequencies and life begins to flow without resistance.
Adding Gratitude and Ayurvedic Practices into your Morning Routine
We all know having gratitude makes us feel good, but did you know it’s one of the most powerful frequencies to tap into? In Dr. Joe Dispenza’s book Becoming Supernatural, he states,
“The longer you feel gratitude, the more you’re drawing your new future to you because gratitude means it has already happened. Gratitude is the ultimate state of receivership.”
Finding gratitude before even opening your eyes is the most powerful way to “tune” your day before it even begins.
Once you’re awake, ayurvedic practices can help to align the body with nature’s rhythms and balance the nervous system.
I’ve been using ayurveda since I learned about it in my yoga teacher training in 2011. The rituals have cleared my eczema completely and help me connect to myself first thing in the morning.
The Ayurvedic practices included in this video are:
1. Dry brushing
2. Tongue Scraping
3. Oil Pulling
4. Abhyanga massage
5. Using essential oils
I’ve attached a link in the resources if you’d like to learn more about the science of Ayurveda and how you can apply it to your life!
Free Write Ritual
Each morning set your timer to ten minutes and write until time is up. There are no rules of what to write - just write what is on your heart and mind.
This is such a POWERFUL practice to connect to yourself - especially first thing in the morning- before going out into the external world- you will be able to have clarity around what is really true for you and the beliefs you're carrying.
Writing helps reveal your patterns so that you may better understand them, and has proven to calm the mind andcan even reveal solutions to personal problems. It’s a place to express your deepest truths, feelings and emotions. This is another way we create space to clear the emotional body.
Journaling also serves as a reference point to track your growth. Plus, it’s a discipline- we often admire great writers because of their ability to express ideas we may not have words for- but how do they have this ability? They've learned to open the channel and strengthen this gift- often through consistent practice.
A writing practice strengthens your overall communication and opens your throat chakra. This can lead to a better relationship with yourself as well as the people in your life that you care about.
Meditation ritual
Set a timer for 10 minutes. I prefer the free app Insight Timer - which you can find in the resources.
Sit in a comfortable position. You can use back support like sitting in a chair or against the wall. If you have your legs crossed on the floor, use a cushion or two under your hips so that they are higher than your knees. Tilt your chin towards your neck just slightly.
Tune into all sensations- even if your legs go numb! Ideally you want to allow all sensations- but if you need to move or reposition, don’t criticize yourself.
Expect the thoughts to race. We are not trying to stop them. You can even label them as “listening” or “thought”.
Focus on listening to your breath as you inhale and exhale. You can label them as “rising” and “falling”.
Once the timer is up, you’re finished! Be kind to yourself in this practice- no expectations will draw the best results.
Movement ritual
The most fun part of this practice may just be the movement ritual!
This is your chance for free form movement. Physical movement is the first thing I do when I feel anxiety or that I am stuck in my thoughts.
We are making a big switch here - from depending on the thoughts in our mind to navigate us to literally dropping into the body first.
Dance in particular tells your body and nervous system that everything is okay - that it is time to celebrate! Remember, as we drop more into the body, we learn to listen to it’s communication first- then the brain will follow. The old module is thoughts coming first- then reacting based on them. In this way we often end up overriding our internal navigation system - because we lose our connection to the body’s sensations.
In the physical movement ritual, we are forming the neural pathway to strongly reconnect to our body.
You can use a combination of dance and yoga. If you’re a novice yogi, feel free to use Youtube to find a short yoga practice or learn sun salutations, until you develop the body awareness to do a free flow movement.
As far as dance- shake it out - like no one is watching! Twerk, walk it out, dance naked - let your wild women out. She is inside waiting for her chance to shine!
If you do this in the morning for 10 minutes you will feel an instant uplift. But warning- your co-workers may not understand your sudden morning person glow!
Spotting Self Sabotage
What a scary word, huh? But it doesn't have to be.
Keep this idea in mind if you feel like you start lifting your vibration up high then one day you crash.
It’s so normal, my love.
It’s the subconscious mind protecting you again. So when you feel low - don’t worry- this is actually a GREAT sign that you’re creating quantum shifts!
It may be tricky to spot or remember when we’re in a lower state- so come back to this video when you feel this way.
You are absolutely invited to soothe yourself in a gentle, nourishing way - taking an epsom salt bath, wrapping yourself in a cozy blanket, getting some extra sleep, and simply allowing yourself to feel everything entirely.
Remember, no emotion is ever wrong or shameful- and they don't define you. Oftentimes when we enter into these states it’s simply old emotions releasing from our body.
They are running their course and moving through you. Again, drink a lot of water to assist this process.
I tend to call these state a “healing crisis” because it’s often activated by jumping into subconscious rewiring practices a bit too quickly.
In this case, slow it down. Take time for integration, and go easy on yourself :)
Limited beliefs that keep your head filled with thoughts, that manifest as anxiety, can oftentimes be traced down to one or a few original beliefs that need to be acknowledged and shifted. It often starts off as the thorn in your side that you’ve been carrying with you for ages.
Common themes from the inner critic include:
I’m not deserving
I’m not smart
I'm not enough
I'm not worthy
Once you clean up the story surrounding it, and allow a limiting belief to be explored, understood, reprogrammed and expressed you will have no choice to expand.
What’s hiding in the shadow is calling you to step into your greater purpose.
Through acknowledgement of shadow elements we can begin to integrate and release their control over us.
They are what are calling you to step into your greatest version of self- your authentic expression and who you are meant to be in this world.
They are calling you to take off all masks that you’ve been hiding behind.
That’s why shadow exists in the first place- FOR YOU, not against you.
Give yourself permission to explore the shadow, because it is there to guide you.
Resetting
Make sacred solo time
Ground in nature
Revisit your sacred code
Slow down
Conserve your energy
Use the inner child exercise followed by the inner cheerleader exercise (explained in the following video)
Channeling your Inner Cheerleader
Do you know how powerful you are? I’m not just blowing smoke- this is the divine truth of everyone in the universe.
We just need to “become” powerful, we simply need to remember how to tap into our power that is always readily available to us.
One of the most powerful tools that I’ve used to rewiring my beliefs and come back to my power is the inner cheerleader practice.
It’s SO simple and fun once we start to use it- I promise you’ll look forward to doing this every day!
You can even use your notes in your phone to track your wins so you can always read them.
I’m talking even the SMALLEST wins.
I woke up and drank water today first thing!
I remembered to wear my favorite rings today!
I smiled and made eye contact with a stranger!
To bigger wins.
Do yourself a favor and don’t leave anything out that comes to mind, even if it doesn’t feel important.
This is the cheerleader inside you going “hooray!”
I picture the Genie in Aladdin with Pom Poms coming out of his lamp to cheer me on (though your visual can definitely look different)
Encouragement has a snowball effect- that’s why it doesn’t matter how tiny the win is- tracking it creates compound interest.
Choosing higher consciousness
You made it to the final section!
Take a moment to write down this win in your inner cheerleader journal.
We are here collecting data- using it to evolve and gain wisdom from.
When speaking to yourself, use phrases like, “I choose to” rather than “I have to.”
Program your brain to understand that everything is a choice.
Once this is engrained in us- we no longer feel stuck in any situation - because we will know that another choice is always available.
You have the power and you hold the key to write and re-write your story however you want it.
Kind of exciting, huh?
One Final Note
My love, you’re on your way to fully reprogram yourself to live the life that you choose.
You have probably noticed your external world shift as you’ve become more consistent with these exercises.
Maybe you have created better boundaries, learned how to conserve your energy, unblocked stuck emotions, and felt yourself in a higher vibration day to day.
And by now you can see that building your inner world empire is the most important energetic investment you can make.
Congratulations, divine soul, now you have the foundational tools to live in energetic alignment.
I am so proud of you!
Breath of fire is one of the most powerful breath work practices to fire up the core and replenish your energy.
There are so many benefits to breath of fire and here's a few of my favorite:
Releases toxins and deposits from the lungs, blood vessels, and cells.
Repairs the balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.
Adjusts the subtle psycho-electromagnetic field of the aura so that the blood becomes energized.
Helps focus by increasing oxygen to the brain
Promotes synchronization of the biorhythms of the body’s systems.
EFT is short for Emotional Freedom Technique. It's similar to acupuncture because it uses meridian points to restore natural balance to your body. Instead of using needles, it uses pressure at the energy points.
Tapping on meridian points moves stuck, heavy and negative energy trapped in the body - which allows your vibration to naturally lift as you begin to feel lighter.
To get really specific with EFT, you can try these steps:
1. Find the problem or fear you want to work with (or follow the video above for an overall clearing of stuck energy).
2. Rate how intense the issue feels in your body from a scale of 0-10.
3. Acknowledge the issue and accept yourself despite it.
4. Tap the meridian points in order (as shown in video).
5. Once you've gone through the it, rate the intensity again from 0-10.
EFT has even shown to be effective in reducing PTSD in war veterans. This practice is powerful! For more information, you can check out the website at: https://eft.mercola.com/?fbclid=IwAR3OS9_gNIaOcya1nFlAH5K3MVayLR22wm7MqV68gVX1OHBx86NV-N1V800.
In this course you will learn:
Learn effective tools on how to reprogram your subconscious
Connect deeply to your inner guidance system or higher self
Gain clarity and calm your mind
Develop your core values and use them as a road map for your life
How to develop body intelligence
Tools to rebalance your nervous system and find calm and ease
Experience freedom from emotional turmoil, anxiety and depression
We live in a society that is driven by the thinking mind. Our minds are a powerful tool, but it is easy to spend too much
time in them and develop an addiction to thinking. This commonly shows up as stress and anxiety- when there is too
much energy being held in the mind rather than being equally distributed throughout the body.
When we live our lives like this our internal guidance system (also know as our intuition) often takes a backseat to the
logical mind. This results in a feeling of disconnection or something "missing". It also tends to keep the body in
constant reaction mode, known as fight or flight response. This fight or flight mode triggers the sympathetic
nervous system to respond as if it's under a perceived threat.
When we connect back into our body we bring our central nervous system back into a balanced state. This results in a
feeling of calm and ease known as the parasympathetic nervous system. This is the state the body must be in for
growth, regeneration and healing to occur.
You know when you have a strong gut feeling about something? That's body intelligence. This course will teach
you how to strengthen this awareness system by redistributing your energy back down into your body and
reconnecting to your body's innate intelligence system.
In this course you will learn how to connect to this intelligence and use it to align with your highest self. You'll
be given a toolkit of embodiment practices that you can refer back to at any point. And best of all, if you use the practices consistently, you will change your physiology to a more grounded, stress free state which is the foundation for clarity.
