Before we go any further, it's useful to take a good look at our old relationship and assess the good, the bad and the ugly. We can also look for some benefits to being single. Performing an audit at the end of an important relationship helps us to take stock. Sometimes things can build up in our heads and seem a lot worse (or better) than they actually are. By being critical and focusing on the facts, we can assess what's what, sort through the debris and make a plan for moving forward. Let's go.
This technique is designed to eliminate any lingering attraction or attachment to the person you're trying to get over. It takes a bit of practice, and it takes time to do, but it's very powerful. I recommend finding a quiet place to practice it, and doing it as much as you can.
If you're still attracted to your ex or this person you're trying to get over, this exercise will turn that on its head and have you seeing them in a whole new light. You can add speech bubbles with annoying things they used to say, for added effect.
Getting some much-needed distance and perspective can really help you move on and let go of your ex and your old relationship.
