Wine education should always be simple, enjoyable and approachable. That is exactly why the Elementary Wine Course was created — to make learning about wine clear, practical and easy to follow. Even the course name reflects its mission: to provide essential wine knowledge without unnecessary complexity.
Throughout five lessons, we will cover the most important aspects of wine, including winemaking, wine storage and serving techniques, as well as practical tips on ordering wine, pairing it with food and understanding different wine styles.
The Geography lesson focuses on the world’s main wine-producing countries, soil types, fermentation and winemaking techniques. Reading is dedicated to understanding wine labels and commonly used wine terminology. Tasting provides a simple step-by-step guide to evaluating wine in a professional and approachable way. Lunch Break answers practical questions about serving wine, storing it correctly and pairing it with food. Finally, Around the Grape takes a closer look at some of the world’s most famous grape varieties.
By the end of the course, students will be able to navigate common wine terminology, read wine labels with confidence, taste wine in a structured way and even begin creating a personal wine collection based on professional sommelier advice.
The clear structure and approachable style of the course make it an ideal stepping stone for wine enthusiasts who want to develop a confident understanding of wine, as well as for people planning to build a career in hospitality or beverage-related industries.
