A look at this course - which is all about creating D&D characters! This applies to any version of D&D as the focus is on the flavor/background of a character.
See over 60 characters I've created and the system I used to create them. Use my characters for a future game as a player, NPC, or DM. All ideas are yours to use or modify as you see fit to meet your needs.
Understand how this course came to be and what went into making it.

Find sources of inspiration for getting started on your next character!
What ideas are really original when you think about it? Everyone is influenced by the creations of those that came before them. Let's hunt for inspiration!
What does your character look like? If you're a talented artist you might draw it yourself but for most of us we need to find visual inspiration to answer this question...
Understand the template I used for making all 60+ characters in this course.
I feel 5th edition D&D has been the best yet at character design suggestions. Now building on that I created this template.
Follow along as my template is used to create a character concept in a live example!
Why design this character "live" you ask? So you can see how long it takes, how I use the template, and I can explain my thought processes during the design process.
Part 2 - the "live" character creation continues! Adding the questions to leave open-ended for this character's future development.
The other 60 characters in this course will only occasionally explain why I made the choices I selected - instead showing the final ideas. Of course if you have any questions or suggestions, fire away!
The character finishing touches are added!
Some characters will require a reason for being added to the game and of course you'll need to generate stats for gameplay! Both are tackled here.
Introduce Reva, a scarred, tattooed barbarian with a giant sword who fights slavery, hunts slavers, and seeks answers about her past.
Kohnor Thunder, a dwarven bard who loves thunder and drums, defends his clan's culture, sacred heirloom drum, and family as his religion and guiding charge.
Tali D'vora, a lawful good half-elf bard, pursues information and allies to avenge her family, enact regicide, and bring a new order among the elves while leading front-line quests.
Explore the creation of Ernum Tark, a lawful good cleric whose faith drives adventuring, healing, and growth as he seeks missing children and grapples with mobs and moral choices.
Meet Qorech, a true neutral half-orc cleric who worships a death god, hunts tombs, plunders bodies for perfect parts, and thrives on flexible, eerie backstory.
Meet Shagar Lash, a gruff half-orc druid who leads with bold, unconventional thinking, seeking non-orc allies to resolve tribal and lizard-man conflicts, guided by a fierce boar companion.
Meet Uto, a mysterious druid whose bizarre, nature-centered wanderer backstory invites open-ended play, dreams, and questions about his purpose, trade, and how he fits within a party.
Meet Vilkiene, a calm, empathic druid and skilled negotiator from a desert colony, who banished a sand demon, partners with Red Claws, and faces strange wildlife and a quest abroad.
Damon "Big Bear" Bern is a large fighter who is loud yet mentally fragile, a former bounty hunter now seeking adventuring and family stability.
Chasta, a brooding elven fighter with a skull-shield, seeks to eradicate a death cult while leveraging beauty, stealth, and survival skills to unravel her dark past.
Mezbee, a witty halfling rogue, uses charm and pickpocketing to chase the Hall of Lords, balancing thrills, loyalty, and a code that avoids cheating.
Narl Warsmiter uses careful planning and a private, all-business rogue mindset to chase unique loot, seek revenge on missing allies, and navigate dangers while unraveling rumors of a Medusa coven.
Shadow Drinker challenges the dungeon with his chatty, smarmy rogue persona, carrying more than ten knives, seeking knife mastery, adventure, and rumors of a shadow cloak and belt.
Everyone wants to play a fun character. Something that inspires them, makes them want to jump into the game. But how did I, a veteran player who has already done all the usual characters, come up with so many character concepts that I would love to play? Well, it took a lot of thought and required a system. I'll share with you my system for character development which I used heavily to make the characters included in this course. Over 60 character concepts are packed into this course! Each with character traits, a background blurb, artwork, and even a musical theme.
