Your first course of therapy for your ADHD child is NOT running to therapists to try and fix your child. I have ADHD, and I have 5 ADHD children, and I am a certified ADHD coach, working with mums just like you for many years.
I used to run to therapists to fix my child. I believed that I needed to spend tons of money and to create change from the outside in. I wasted thousands of pounds and spent far too much energy running around town... When I started to create change from the inside out, that is when I started seeing open miracles with my ADHD child.

Since your child's behaviour is largely brain-based, it is wise to adjust your expectations of what your child can and cannot do. In their area of deficit, they can do far less than other children their age. Your child really does struggle with many invisible challenges. They are not lazy, they simply haven't found the key to their inner self-motivation. Stop setting your child up for failure. Replace your frustration with acceptance.
In this video you will learn about the different types of memory than can be affected in those who have ADHD. Here is my top tip. "SImplify the way that you speak to your ADHD child." Don't bombard your child with lots of words and instructions. Speak in short and focused sentences. In this way your child will be more able to remember what you have said. You won't tax your child's working memory deficit with lots of words. You will support it through simple instructions that your child can easily follow.

Self-awareness is the key for all change. Your child needs to first become more self-aware of how they feel when they are experiencing their emotions. Only then, can they start to calm down.

WHY I CREATED THIS COURSE
There is very little information regarding the Social Science behind ADHD. There is even less information on the nitty gritty, feet on the ground, how to live your life, moment to moment, with ADHD. There is almost no information about why the recommended ADHD skills work. My courses and ADHD resources fill this huge void.
