  • Welcome To The Course2:52

This course is for anyone that wants information about Constant Contact and their new Toolkit platform.

You could be a current Constant Contact user wondering whether you should transition to Toolkit.

You could be a past Constant Contact user who wants to learn more about the new system.

You may never have used Constant Contact before but are considering signing up.

I am going to quickly cover what Toolkit is and why Constant Contact is making this big change.

I am going to explain the new Organization, Features and Pricing.

And I’m going to demonstrate 14 individual functions and compare how you accomplish them in Toolkit vs. the existing Constant Contact platform.

This is a general overview not an in-depth examination.

What’s different and what’s the same.

You don’t have to watch every video, just the ones that apply to or interest you.

  • What's Happening and Why4:19

What is Toolkit and why is Constant Contact making this change?

Constant Contact released Toolkit in late April 2014.

Toolkit is a new approach to Digital Marketing.

Most of the functionality is identical to the existing platform.

Constant Contact has made this change to better organize, price and market their service.

I’m excited about Toolkit because it’s structure is directly in alignment with my Customer Factory Marketing Model and the way I teach Touch Marketing.

You should be excited because Toolkit gives you all your different marketing touches all in one box.

Toolkit is inexpensive and easy to use.

I am going to teach you Touch Marketing Mastery with Constant Contact Toolkit in a separate paid course.

  • Basic, Essential and Ultimate Subscriptions7:30

In this video I talk about the three different subscription levels available in the new Constant Contact Toolkit: Basic, Essential and Ultimate.

I describe what features are available in each one, how much each one costs and why you might choose on level over another.

I recommend the Essential package for most small businesses and non-profits.

The Basic package starts at $20 per month for up to 500 contacts and includes one username, email marketing and the graphics library function.

The library function is limited to 250 megabytes of storage in the Basic package.

Basic users can access all of Constant Contact’s Plus Campaigns but must pay $50 per Plus Campaign per use.

Plus Campaigns include Facebook Promotions, Local Daily Deals, Smart Trackable Coupons, Surveys, Donation Collection and a number of other more advanced features.

If you only plan on using these features once or twice per year, only need one username and feel the 250 megabytes of graphic storage is sufficient for you, then the Basic Package is right for you.

The Essential package starts at $45 per month for up to 500 contacts. Essential includes up to 3 usernames per account and offers up to 2.5 gigabytes of storage in the graphics library.

Essential customers also can use an unlimited number of Plus Campaigns at no additional charge.

Essential is an amazing bargain for only $45 per month.

The Ultimate package starts at $195 per month for up to 500 contacts and includes up to 10 usernames per account. The library storage level remains at 2.5 gigabytes and unlimited Plus Campaigns are also included.

Ultimate also includes your own Constant Contact marketing coach available during all business hours on weekdays.

Constant Contact marketing coaches are your single point of contact at Constant Contact. They learn all about your specific business and challenges and offer strategic marketing advice and Toolkit marketing guidance. They also help you build, upload and segment your contact lists.

They won’t do copywriting, website development or advanced design work. They also will not create or modify your social media accounts.

Constant Contact has a Custom Design Group that does graphics work, copywriting and campaign creation at charge on a per-campaign basis.

  • New Organization, Features and Pricing7:00

In this video I explain the new organization, features and pricing of Constant Contact Toolkit.

Toolkit has a complete different look. The colors, layout and design scheme have been significantly altered.

Tasks are grouped by objective rather than functionality. In other words, they are organized by what you are trying to do rather than what tool you plan on using.

For example, you will find email features in different places depending upon whether you’re looking to send a newsletter, a special offer, request a review or promote an event.

There are four main buttons/areas of interest: Campaigns, Contacts,Reports and Library.

Everything works exactly the same as before - once you get down below the surface.

But the surface looks sufficiently different that you may be put off by it or wonder how you’re going to get your normal day-to-day tasks done.

In Toolkit the subscription pricing is based upon how many contacts you have. You are not charged for anything else - unless you choose the Basic level.

You can keep your current pricing and platform if you prefer.

  • Plus Campaigns1:35

This is a short video produced by Constant Contact that explains what Plus Campaigns are and how they can be used by small businesses and non-profits to generate revenue.

  • Should You Transition to Toolkit?2:32

If you are a new Constant Contact customer, someone who is just about to sign-up, your new account will be in Toolkit.

If you are an existing Constant Contact customer, transitioning your account to Toolkit is optional at this time. You do not have to change your account.

If you do choose to transition, you must request that this be done by email.

There are three reasons you would not want to transition right now and, in fact, if any of these three things apply to you and your account, Constant Contact will not currently allow you to transition to Toolkit.

If you have over 200 email campaigns in your account you cannot currently transition to Toolkit.

If you have been organizing your emails into folders

If you are using the Archive feature for your emails
