Cisco Packet Tracer for Beginners
What you'll learn
- Design, implement and secure a network entirely on your own!
- Basic knowledge of networking and network components.
- Download Cisco Packet Tracer software
In this course, you will learn the basics of designing a network with the help of a simulator called Cisco Packet Tracer. We will make use of certain components for the proper implementation of the network. I'll be explaining how to include routers, switches, computers, and transmission media, and how to bind them together with the help of protocols to enable successful communication between them.
This course will introduce the students to the basic handling and functioning of Cisco networking components and their simulated behaviour in a real network. At the end, the students will encounter a quiz to brush up on what they have learnt throughout the course.
So, see you in class then!
Who this course is for:
- Anyone pursuing CCNA certification.
- Anyone with basic knowledge of networking.
I am a spacecraft engineer from India, currently working for the European space industry. Over the years, I have been part of prominent aerospace firms and worked on top-notch projects such as nanosatellite missions, on-orbit space technologies, rocket navigation, etc. At the moment, I am leading another satellite mission as a technical manager (while simultaneously enjoying the success of our scientific breakthrough mission that was deployed in orbit, in early 2021).
Although space technology has always been my passion, I started my tech journey with an engineering degree in Information Technology. I was highly interested in network management and security, hence underwent training in CCNA and Ethical Hacking at Hewlett-Packard (HP). It was then, that I published my 'Cisco Packet Tracer for Beginners' course on Udemy, and even after 8 years, I am glad that it still helps those in need.
