Infant Massage and Cranial Sacral Therapy

This lecture will cover the different breastfeeding positions, some issues to consider with the different positions and the ideal positioning of a baby to breastfeed effectively.

Assessment of the baby for musculoskeletal factors that are affecting the baby's ability to be comfortable in breastfeeding positions, or actually feeding. The history, observation of the baby and breastfeeding assessment are discussed.

This is a video of an assessment and treatment of a baby. Due to the nature of the filming, and to ensure the comfort of the baby, some treatment techniques are incorporated.   A preview for the techniques which will be taught in the remainder of the course include: helping baby mouth open wide and turn head. Watching this video after completion of the course will help you recognize the different techniques to help baby breastfeed better.
