Description

It has been proven through studies across the globe that Tai Chi has reduced the risk of falls in over 50% of the cases. Many Doctors have recommended it as well as hospitals offering it. This course builds on improving ones balance through a variety of Qigong and Tai Chi movements. You will also understand many of the reasons balance can decline and how to tackle those challenges. Not only will one gain strength and more flexibility but one will also lower their blood pressure and lower their stress. We live in a world today where many have learned to multitask and some of us can't. Thoughts and external distractions disrupt our living and being present in the moment. Through focusing our breath and coordinating our movements we also exercise the right and left side of the brain which has a huge impact in our balance. Each individual movement in the course practiced  is in itself a meditation to quiet one's mind. Although the focus is on balance there will be some mention relating to Traditional Chinese Medicine. Since the course is based on Qigong and Tai Chi there are other golden nuggets which benefit ones health by practicing the movements. These are mentioned throughout the class and yet not too much to overwhelm you. Highly recommend this to improve one's balance.
