An introduction to Beginning Dreamweaver Creative Cloud 2014, including who this course is for and who it is not. Covers the basics of what the class will teach you.
Introduces many of the basic terms we will use in this course and explains what they mean.
We create our first simple webpage in a text editor and see what HTML code looks like and how it works in a browser.
We recreate the same page we did with a text editor, but this time do so with Dreamweaver. This gives us a chance to understand the benefits of using Dreamweaver and gives as a good introduction to setting it up for best use.
Now we make the same page again, this time with MS Word. It some ways Dreamweaver seems similar to working in a word processor, but we will see where Dreamweaver has clear advantages.
Provides a PDF with a summary of the unit, resources used in the videos, and questions and a project for the students to challenge themselves.
Introduces the concepts needed to understand how to organize the files and folder in your website so they will work best, and how Dreamweaver works with such assets to create a complete website.
We create our first Dreamweaver site and add multiple images onto our page. With Dreamweaver this is all easy: just drag and drop.
We now add multiple pages to our website and link them together. We have gone from a single page to a real site.
We find there is more to a webpage that what meets the eye. There is also data that helps search engines and more. We look into this and show how Dreamweaver makes it easy to add this data about our data - our metadata.

We look at the concepts involved in uploading a site to the web. Once you do this, you have a real, live site that can be viewed by people around the world!
We now add the remote host information to our Dreamweaver site and upload our content to the web.
We look at options to help us find what files have been changed and to make sure we do not leave anything out as we alter and update our site.
