  • Awaken: A New Way to Meet Your Mind and Life2:11

The quality of your mind determines the quality of your life. Let's think about that for a second. The quality of your mind determines the quality of your life.

Hello. My name is Ben, and I'm the creator of this 30 day introductory course in mindfulness and meditation with some life coaching lessons, designed to help you become more content, more resilient to dealing with life's challenges and yes, to become happier and unlock your inner mindfulness superpower.

Because, let's be honest, in today's fast paced world, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and disconnected with what truly matters. So awaken invites you to slow down and pay attention and build a new kind of awareness, one that helps you choose calm over stress and joy over worry.

For 30 days, you will receive simple, practical lessons and guided meditations that can fit into any schedule, I'm only asking you to spend about 15 to 20 minutes every day. We take about 15 to 20 minutes every day to shower and brush our teeth. We probably spend more than 15 to 20 minutes every day scrolling on our phones.

So this course will bring you the power to observe, reflect and choose your path with clarity and with kindness, not just to us, the people around you that you encounter every day, not just towards people that you love and care about them most. But compassion and kindness to you, yourself.

Before you join me on this 30 day introductory course please feel free to try the following free short lesson, meditation and accompanying journaling activity, then lets get started, let's awaken together.

    Thank you.

  • Try It!: A Gentle Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation9:31

Awaken Pre-Course Free Lesson & Meditation

Hi, and welcome. I'm Ben, and this is a small taste of what you’ll experience in the Awaken course.

Thank you for making it this far — I’m really glad you’re here.

In this short session, I’ve combined a gentle teaching with a simple 3-minute meditation. It’s designed to give you a real, felt sense of what this journey is all about — not just an idea or a theory, but a direct experience.

Throughout Awaken, I’ll be introducing a range of meditation practices. But they all rest on the same foundation — a quality of awareness known as mindfulness.

Mindfulness isn’t just a technique. It’s a natural capacity we all have — to be present, open, and clear. You could think of it as undistracted attention. It’s the ability to notice what’s happening — in your body, your senses, and even your thoughts — without needing to fix or change anything.

And here’s the beautiful part: this capacity to notice, to truly be here, grows stronger with practice. Over the coming sessions, we’ll train this attention gently, and then explore the ways it can help us live more wisely, more freely, and with greater inner calm.

For today, let’s begin with a very simple practice — just 3 minutes of mindful breathing.
No special posture is needed — just sit upright in a chair, relaxed and alert.
Let your hands rest comfortably. And when you’re ready, softly close your eyes.

Now take a few easy, natural breaths.
And then, gently bring your attention to the sensations of breathing.
You might feel it most clearly at the tip of your nose… or in the rise and fall of your chest or belly. Wherever it feels strongest, just rest your attention there.

Let the breath come and go on its own — no need to control anything.
If it’s deep, that’s fine. If it’s shallow, that’s fine too.
Simply feel each breath as it arrives… and leaves. Moment by moment.

Of course, other sensations will appear — sounds, body feelings, thoughts.
That’s okay. Notice them, and gently return your attention to the breath.
You’re not doing anything wrong — this is the practice.

You may notice you’ve been caught in thought — remembering, planning, imagining. That’s completely natural. The moment you realise it, just come back. Gently, without judgment. Begin again.

For this last minute, see if you can follow the full arc of the breath —
From the beginning of the inhale… all the way to the end of the exhale.
    Breath by breath.

[pause for a few more breaths]

And when you're ready, slowly open your eyes.

That was it — your first meditation.
Simple… but don’t be fooled. What you just did has the power to change your life.

The truth is, it’s almost impossible to overstate how deep and transformative this practice can be — not just on the cushion, but in your everyday life.

You might think of it like this: Imagine trying to observe the stars while living in a brightly lit city — the sky seems empty. But if you travel to the countryside, where there’s no light pollution, you suddenly see a sky full of stars and galaxies.

In the same way, mindfulness clears the inner noise so you can begin to see — really see — your own mind, your own life, with clarity.

It’s like building your own telescope… one that lets you explore the vast and beautiful space within.

And this is just the beginning.

If something in this short session resonated with you — even just a little — I warmly invite you to join me for the full Awaken course. We’ll walk step by step through teachings, guided meditations, and journaling practices designed to support real growth — not just in meditation, but in how you live, relate, and thrive.

    This is a practice. It’s a path.
And I’d love to walk it with you.

    See you in the course.
