As Leaders in the Health Sector, we aim to build on your experiences by providing you with essential risk management tools and knowledge that will enable you effectively identify and manage the key risks faced by your organisation (be it clinical or non-clinical). This in turn ensures you continue to provide the best possible care to your patients.
The course sets out the best practice risk management process based on ISO31000:2018 risk management - guidelines. ISO 31000: 2018 is the international standard for risk management that provides comprehensive guidelines on managing risks faced by organisations. The guidelines are not industry or sector specific.
At the end of each module, you will be given some tools that will reinforce your understanding of each of the topics. These tools include templates; case studies; further practice exercises; video clips; implementation checklists; and a quiz. We urge you to spend some time going through these tools.
The key transformation you will expect when you complete this course is a thorough understanding of the risk management process; the ability to clearly articulate and manage the key risks faced by your department or organisation. In addition, you will be empowered to champion and integrate risk management into your day-to-day work.
