A quick reminder about chakras. What they are and how they can help us....
But before I do, make sure you have downloaded the 7-day Chakra Clearing workbook which contains more information on the chakras, and all the tasks for the series.
Ok, here we go!
Chakras are energy centres in the body, each likened to a spinning wheel which can become blocked due to trauma or the chronic manifestation of unhelpful habits over the years. There are seven principal chakras in the body, each responsible for specific energetic qualities. This 7-day chakra series is an invitation help clear any blockages to enable free flow of vital energy in the body.
Let’s start with the first chakra;
Muladhara - Base Chakra
This is our grounding energy centre, situated at the base of our spine, and where we feel safe and secure when our basic needs are met.
I am setting you a task, along with the meditation if you wish to go a little deeper.
You have 24 hours to complete the task.
I highly recommend doing the meditation and the task at the beginning of the day, if possible. It changes the course of the day...
I recommend putting the phone in airplane mode at this time so that no one will interfere with you (children and everyone around you too - as much as is realistic of course )
Now, trust in the process!

*Task*
Make a list in your notebook of or simply consider all the things you have in your life which give you basic security including shelter, water, food etc
Give yourself a few moments to feel gratitude for all that you currently have in your life.
Remember the best things about what you have and what they bring into your life.
BREATH FOCUS OF THE DAY:
Take a moment to pause, taking 4 slow breaths mentally repeating the following words
Breathe in: I am safe
Breathe out: I am grounded
Try to find several opportunities during the day to practice this.
Svadisthana/ Sacral Chakra
This is our feeling, and pleasure energy centre that connects with our sex glands
But not just limited to sex, it relates to the deepest creative drive within us.
*Task*
It will seem simple to some people but not to others.
Remember that if it is difficult for you to perform any task, then there may be a block.
Be aware of this and STICK with it!
Write in your notebook, or simply consider you thoughts about sex:
Your relation to it as a lover,
Your perception of it as a physical act
Feelings about your own sexuality
If you wish, make a list of all the positives and negatives you have about sex.
Finally, think about your own innate creativity and how that presents in the world. Perhaps you have a creative talent which you love. What is that and WHY do you love it?!
Answer the question, “What does creativity mean to you?” If you want, you can write the answer in your notebook.
BREATH FOCUS OF THE DAY:

Day 2 - Optional question:
What is your biggest learning from the task of Day 1?
Today we enter what's called Operating Mode.
Manipura is all about your self-esteem, will, and directed energy
Associated with the element of fire, it is the power of transformation.
For this alchemy to occur we must shift our perception of power – from ‘power over’ (domination), to ‘power to’ (cooperation).
This occurs when we bring our sense of willingness to cooperate with a shift in a change of ideas.
With this willingness we can then bring about transformation within ourselves
*Task*
Create a list of people who make you feel belittled or powerless.
This may include your relatives or people who are now far from you.
For example, it can be neighbours, employees, bosses, family members, members of the government.
Remember that these people may trigger you, and at the same time, may also be your teachers or mentors.
Now focus on just one person who has evoked this feeling of powerlessness
And write the following declaration
“I HEARBY RELEASE YOU FROM THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY LIFE AND ITS SHORTCOMINGS. I NOW TAKE THAT RESPONSILBILTY FOR MYSELF.”
Even if you don’t feel that right now, you will take this with you to the meditation.
BREATH FOCUS OF THE DAY:
Take a moment to pause, taking 4 slow breaths mentally repeating the following words
Breathe in: I am strong
Breathe out: I am ready
Try to find several opportunities during the day to practice this.

As a reminder, it is completely normal to experience discomfort and resistance to some tasks.
This journey highlights your blocks and negative programming clearly so that you can see what is stopping you from living the life that you desire.
The Anahata chakra is the bridge between the lower and upper chakras in the body. It is the chakra of loving energy that affects our relationships, and can bring healing , with abundant love for others, the world, and yourself.
Pure love energy perceives the world in a state of unity not separation.
Through transcending the ego to loosen our self-defined boundaries, we merge into the ecstasy of love
*Task*
Make a list of people whom you love in your family or environment.
These are people you personally know and have access to. They are part of your life right now
Think about why you love them and give reasons
Think about the friends you have chosen to bring close into your life and understand WHY they are important in your life
Now think about those people who have chosen to be in your life and notice how they bring love into your world.
Please remember, the more attention and reflection you give to these simple tasks, the greater the return.

QUESTION N ° 1: What does it mean to you to be immersed in pure love?
QUESTION N ° 2: How can you bring this awareness into your everyday life?
QUESTION N ° 3: How has the practice of meditation helped you connect with your sense of love?
Vishuddu is the purifier of energy through Sound.
Positioned in the throat area we consider diplomacy in building pure relationships with others and playful detachment. Communication as an act of connection. Space to listen and to speak. As we climb the chakra column, boundaries become less defined. Where sound, as vibration, has a purifying effect and can affect the cellular structure of matter.
Mantra protects the mind from non-productive thoughts and action. The utterance of mantras is a way of taking control of our rhythms and guiding the development of the mind and body at an etheric level. In today’s meditation you are guided to sound the Vishuddhi mantra.
*Message of the Day*
Each sound I make penetrates the field of all possibilities, appearing in the silence of meditation.
You might want to rewrite the phrase in a notebook.
Today, spend a few moments thinking about the power of words.
How they can be used a weapons or ways to convey love and kindness.
Write some key examples of how you might rephrase the following so that the communication is spoken kindly
Your hair looks greasy
I don’t want to see you later
Hurry up
Give me some space
You might want to add a few of your own
Now let’s think about how sound can affect you through the power of music
Write down your 5 favourite pieces of music, and what the sound communicates to you

Here, psychic powers become manifest and self-realisation becomes possible We realise and experience a feeling of connectedness like a radio, with capacity to tune into different frequencies.
Remember the chakras are likened to spinning wheels of energy? Each of which resonate with a component colour of the rainbow...
Your task today is to write notes AFTER the meditation.

Task
Observe your feelings closely as you move through the spectrum of the colour meditation and notice feelings of discomfort, diminished light or shining vibrancy.
After the meditation make notes on your feelings and vibrancy of each chakra. Noticing where you may feel abundant energy which may be represented in vibrancy of colour , and weaker colours suggesting weaker areas of energy, or even blockages.
What have you learnt about yourself through observing your energy in such a way?
The sahasrara chakra is the energy and driving force where the underlying order and meaning of things is ultimately perceived.
It is a force of unity, order and organisation – the design, pattern, and intelligence of existence.
When consciousness transmutes all thought into transcendence
SAT CHIT ANANDA = TRUTH BEING BLISS is realised.
Union is achieved.
Therefore, the function of the sahasrara chakra is ‘knowing’ and liberation.
PLAY VIDEO
*Task*
Think or write about the following, knowing that you with full consciousness you can find liberation through the lens of your perception.
The story you present to yourself, about yourself
What is your old story?
Write notes or draw examples that relate to your old self in our notebook.
The person, who perhaps, up until yesterday thought less of themselves. Perhaps quick to judge, or so full of doubt that nothing seems possible.
Write about your sense of injustice or why you have felt unable to change
What is your new story?
Now think about what you would like to change if you felt the power to do this?
Write as if this has already happened, as if you are already where you see yourself from an empowered place of being.
Who is your new self?
Will we recognise you when you return to class next week? What has changed?
BREATH FOCUS
Take a moment to pause, taking 4 slow breaths mentally repeating the following words
