I'm a software engineer with more than 25 years of professional experience in web and app development — and over 30 years of programming behind me. On Udemy, I've had the privilege of teaching more than 150,000 students, becoming the most popular Italian-language instructor on the platform, with multiple best-selling courses on PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, Node.js, C# and .NET, Unity game development, Prompt Engineering, and Claude Code.
Born in Cuba and now living in the beautiful city of Turin, Italy, I hold a university degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Automation Engineering. Since 2002, I've been building web applications for Italian companies using modern, mostly open-source technologies: PHP, Laravel, Java, C#/.NET, Node.js, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, and Ionic. Today I also work as a Senior Technical Trainer and certified developer on enterprise e-commerce platforms, and I'm deeply focused on AI-assisted development — the biggest shift our industry has seen in decades.
My teaching philosophy is simple: no endless slides, no theory you could find in a manual. You code with me, in real time, on real projects — pausing whenever you need and asking questions I personally answer, usually within the day. I teach the way I would have wanted to learn: practical, structured, and straight to the point.
When I'm not programming or teaching, I'm learning human languages instead of programming ones. I speak Spanish (my mother tongue), Italian (almost a second mother tongue), English, French, and Portuguese — and I'm currently studying German and Arabic. I also play fingerstyle guitar, and I dedicate as much passion to it as I do to code and languages.
I never stop learning: I regularly take courses myself, right here on Udemy, because the best teachers are permanent students. If you're ready to learn by doing, I'll see you in class.
