This course is taught in six parts; Sitting Posture, Deep Breathing, Alternate Nostril Breathing, Mantra, Candle Flame Gazing, and Empathy Meditation. It is designed to bring the student to the point where they have the ability to control and focus their thoughts. This basic ability can then be used for simple relaxation, gaining knowledge, manifestation of desires, or more advanced studies.
Part 1 teaches the proper sitting posture that the student will need to begin meditation
I would say this is a great course to help build upon your meditation practice. I am a beginner at meditation, but I understand the concept well so I feel like this course has helped me improve my practice. If you know nothing about meditation at all, you might want to learn about it some before taking this.
I've found just barely two weeks after the course I'm better able to enter a deep meditation and relax. I still watch the videos as well. Excellent course for beginners like myself but I think that anyone interested in meditation (no matter their level) will find the techniques in this course helpful.

This is excellent for beginners. I do wish the videos were longer but it's a FREE class and very generous of Greg Alan to provide this for us. Thank you, enjoyed it all and even as a regular meditation practitioners, I learned a few new things :)!
