A warm welcome to this course where we'll explore what I did to create two YouTube tech channels that have reached thousands of subscribers, hundreds of thousands of views, and monthly passive income for two years now.
In this video you'll see that I have multiple videos that are ranked at the top of Google's search results. Each of these videos has hundreds of thousands of views, and make me monthly passive income.
I show you the first product I reviewed, a waterproof iPhone accessory, that made me my first $1000 on YouTube. You'll learn how easy it was to make my first thousand by making a simple review. I also give you a first taste of my system, by explaining how I promote my videos.
Even YouTube has ranked my video reviews at the very top for their search results. Not only that, but my videos rank at the top for more than one YouTube channel. This video is to show you that what I've achieved can be reproduced, and I'll show you throughout this course how I did it.
Before we can dive into all my YouTube video secrets, I give you a complete overview of my system. This is to give you a road map for the rest of this course. Refer back to this video at anytime.
In this video you get to see the system from the last lecture in action. I show you real-world case study, using the iPhone 6 and the LifeProof frē Case, walking you through the whole process, starting from product planning, to testing, to reviewing, to upload, and finally promotion.
You learn what software I use for all my YouTube related activity, and what I'll use for the rest of this course. I also go through some software alternatives. Sharing both free and paid options.
Learn how to create a YouTube channel from scratch using a Google account. Explore the graphic design elements for two of my YouTube channels. I'll go through graphic dimensions, and show you what I think fresh design looks like.
In this video you get to see the three-piece video recording system I started on YouTube with a couple years ago.
Learn the essentials of what a good, low-budget starter equipment package for YouTube tech reviews looks like.
iRig Mic HD - the perfect starter microphone to connect to your iPhone, Mac, or PC. I show you in a matter of a minute how to set it up.
This video shows the huge difference audio makes. You get to see how horrible sound is without a dedicated microphone, going from recording video on an iPhone with no mic to recording video with an iPhone that's connected to an iRig Mic HD. The difference is like night and day.
Welcome to my studio setup! You get a personal behind-the-scenes look. I show you all the equipment that I use for my current YouTube reviews - from camera, to microphones, to lighting, tripods, and all the pricing details.
In this section we're going to take a deep look at the review process from beginning to end. From Testing, to Unboxing, to a Step-by-Step review for our example product the LifeProof nūūd Case. At the end of Section 4 we're also gonna look at how to edit video in Adobe Premiere pro. Then we'll close with how I promote my videos.
Here's an easy way to test products in a short amount of time and target the things people actually care about. I'll show you my method of measuring the performance of any product. And all it takes is keeping your product's packaging.
A great way to get comfortable with talking on camera is by unboxing a product. It gets your mind in the swing of sharing your thoughts with a video camera as if your audience is right in the room with you. I'll go through an example boxing step by step, and you can even watch me as I do it.
In this video I take you through a full review of an example product. I explain each part of the review before I do it, and even jump "into character" so you get a clear understanding of how to talk to your audience, how to maintain the energy throughout the video, and record captivating content.
You get to see what I do once I have I'll my raw footage ready to be edited. We'll jump into Adobe Premiere Pro, and cut everything up. I'll show you how I isolate clips quickly using keyboard shortcuts, and get everything put together in order to make a video that's seamless and cohesive. I'll show you how to prep your video, how to pick the perfect thumbnail using an Export Frame tool, and export it.
We take the video we edited from the previous lecture and upload it straight to YouTube. As the video's processing, we'll add our description and tag the video, then I'll show you how to enable a YouTube account for monetization. Last we'll add our custom thumbnail to our video.
I show you how I promote my all YouTube videos by taking you to the source of a product's public interest. I then show you how I integrate my video into comment to comment conversation, so it not only helps the person I'm talking to, but also gains interest from people that see the conversation.
You've made it through this entire course! I close up the course with some concluding remarks, remind you to have fun with this system, use the discussion tab, and leave a review if you found this course helpful in any way. Thanks again!
There's one little fact about me that inspires everything I do: I'm curious. REALLY curious. From the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep, I'm thinking about dozens of little questions pricking at my mind to answer. Hundreds of insatiable intrigues I have in my mind to explore. This curiosity drives me to figure out things. Figure out the WHY behind things. To figure out the HOW. My mind is always growing towards these little discoveries, like vines on a wall always stretching further out and up for the sun.
I'm curious, because I want to learn how to create things. Creating things for people makes me feel most alive. There's nothing better than that flooding rush of excitement because what I made really meant something to someone. When I play back a song I wrote, work on a video production, connect with a huge audience, review a new up and coming product, give people the inside scoop on a theory, a method, a set of insights to change someone's life - these are the sort of things I live for.
I'm driven by curiosity, creativity, and truth.
It's with this passion that I hope to imbue each and every class I establish on this website. I hope you can feel my enthusiasm for discovery when you enroll in my courses. I want know what YOU think. I want to help you with the things I know best.
It means everything to me.
