Section 2: XML
01:05
XML is the whole reason for XSLT.  So we'd better understand that first.  This section will cover all of the important XML fundamentals.
07:21
XML is like an easily offended friend - you need to be careful what you say around it.  This lecture covers the important things you need to know to make sure your XML will behave.
05:44
XML elements and attributes are the way we describe our data in XML.  This lecture will cover what you need to know about XML and attributes.
10:23
The XML Tree is important to understand to early prep you for XPath.  This lecture will help you understand the XML tree.
XML Section Quiz
10 questions
Section 3: XPath
01:18
In XPath, we get to be navigators of the XML document.  This lecture will introduce you to XPath concepts.
03:26
In order to effectively use path expressions to navigate, you'll need to understand the relationships between nodes in the XML document.
09:10
Path expressions are very important to understand for selecting nodes in XSLT.  This lecture will show you how to write and test path expressions for an XML Document separately from your XSLT.
XPath Section Quiz
5 questions
Section 4: XSLT
18:14
Your finally here!  Ready to learn how to create an XSLT document!  Let's go!

-Lindsay

15:47
This high level declarative language is equipped with familiar programming concepts:  variables, conditional operators, and iterators.  Yay!
20:00
XSLT functions are a powerful tool for transforming your node sets in conjunction with variables and conditional statement.  This lecture introduces you to using functions in your XSLT.
XSLT Section Quiz
10 questions
Section 5: Conclusion

    Good quick overview

A good quick overview. I would like to see another course that went into more depth.

    Great intro course

If you have knowledge of CSS & HTML - this course is a quick intro to XML & XSLT. Marie really knows her stuff! She gives great examples and real-life uses. My only complaint is that she goes incredibly fast in the last section. I was following along with typing the examples. I had to pause it a lot, but worth it! I feel I have a basic understanding for this project I need to do. Thanks, Marie!

    XSLT Jump Start Training

A good summary course. The last lecture (Lecture 9) could have been broken up into smaller chunks as it contained a lot of information. The example file used could have been "simpler". It was difficult (near impossible) to read the text in the text editor - the font size should have been increased. Overall I would recommend it. The instructor was engaging.

    It's Worth $9

Since I am at the mid-term of my class I only really found value in the 4th section. But I'd have to say I'd pay the $9 again. I sought out this course to prepare for a mid-term exam and can honestly say I feel much more confident to take the exam.

    Nice and quick

This is a quick/fast intro into the world called xslt. I did it in one evening. Great.
