Welcome to Shortcodes Ultimate Advanced. Watch this video from the instructor on the goals of this course. and why this is a great addition to the Shortcodes Ultimate Basic course.

Section 1: Setting Up the Advanced Features of Shortcodes Ultimate

In this video, I show you a few steps to set up Shortcode Ultimate and make it work for your website.

Shortcodes Ultimate comes with a cheat sheet of attributes that allow you to edit existing shortcodes, since the plugin has no editor for shortcodes that were previously added. The cheat sheet shows you the attribute names and their values. Examples are provided in this video on making changes using the cheat sheet.

Do you like all those settings you added to one shortcode and would like to use them again on another shortcode? Presets make it easy to save those form settings and call them back up later.

Yes, you can also dress up the elements created with shortcodes by adding your own custom CSS to the CSS editor. Don't like the plain white color of tabs? Make them gold. You think the Google maps shortcode needs a rounded corner? Add a border-radius property in its CSS. I show you how to do all of that in this video.

In this project, you will add any three shortcodes and use the CSS editor to create new classes. Then, add those classes to the shortcodes. Display your work on the discussion board or send a private message to me to review.

Section 2: Managing Conent for Users, Paid Members, & Guests

Learn how to add a shortcode that displays content to site visitors who are logged in and for visitors who are not logged in.

These two shortcodes displays content to people who are logged in. Use it to tell members to sign up for your website and makes it easy to earn money by displaying reminders to those people who are not logged in.

For example, you can use this shortcode to display a Login and Signup link and then link it to a payment page.

Private content can be used to display content only to website visitors who are logged into your WordPress website. This is a GREAT way to make money by selling paid content.

Learn how to add a shortcode that displays content to site visitors who are logged in. This can be used for paid website members. This shortcode is a combination of the members and users shortcode. This can be used for paid website members.

5 questions

Test your knowledge of using these shortcodes to display for specific users whether they are logged in or not.

In this project, you are creating a page that will display text to members who are:

  1. not logged in: The content will tell them to log in in or sign up. The signup link will point to a registration page.
  2. logged in: The content will welcome member by their first and last name.

This can all be accomplished with one main shortcode as well as another shortcode embedded into it.

Section 3: Images and Animations

QR codes are an excellent way for people to visit websites right through their mobile devices. Creating one requires going to another website to generate it, but now Shortcodes Ultimate makes it easy to do it right inside your WordPress website.

In this video, I introduce you to animation as done only by Shortcodes Ultimate. There are 30 different animations with this shortcode and I show you a few to get you started.

In this video, we combine two different shortcodes: animation and buttons. Learn how to take your animation skills to the next level with animated buttons that will encourage more clicks than a static, stationary button.

Until now, lightboxes required a knowledge of javascript and advanced HTML, but there is a shortcode to easily display any image in a lightbox.

Section 4: Cool Web Design Tricks With Shortcodes Ultimate

The Rows shortcode is a great way to line up text.

I love boxes and so will you. In this video, I show you how to add boxes with bubbles, glass, noise and other cool background effects.

Sometimes, you just need to see how a particular page will look without regards to the content. Well, in this video, I show you how to generate dummy text for that purpose with a simple shortcode.

Tooltips are great for explaining other elements on your web page. I show you how to add one of 10 styles to your tooltips, a close button and font size. The possibilities are endless with this shortcode.

Highlighted text helps text stand out. With this shortcode, we can select the color of our highlights.

Labels are great for making text stand out just like highlighted text. However, they are used for a different purpose than highlighted text. I show you how to set up labels in this video.

Section 7: Advanced Tips and Tricks With Shortcodes Ultimate

Shortcodes Ultimate even comes with its own ability to add them to any sidebar widget. I show you how to do that in this video lecture.
