This is a basic introduction to the course. We will review the course components and what you will learn. I would suggest updating your Wirecast Software to the latest version which is 7. Learn a little bit about Wirecast 7's improvement below!
Wirecast 7 adds performance enhancing tools to help you stream the best quality video without compromising your hardware's resources.
Review the buttons and tabs in Wirecast. Understand the layout and workflow in Wirecast 7.
Review the different options for capturing content with Wirecast 7.
Learn how to add graphics such as jpeg PNG and other to your Wirecast production.
Learn how to add cameras to Wirecast.
Learn how to add audio sources and briefly check out the audio mixer.
Learn how to build camera shots with built in lower thirds and complete shots you can transition between during your live broadcast or video production.
Wirecast 7 now allows users to pull in web pages as video inputs. This is a nice feature for quickly adding a web browser to your video production without needed to use a desktop capture.
Desktop capture allows you to bring in anything on your monitor into the live video production. In this lecture we will show you multiple uses for this including how to host your own talk show (which is reviewed completely in another course you will have free access to).
In this lecture we will full review the Audio Mixer and using Mix Minus. Mix Minus allow you to choose where the audio is going. Mix Minus is used for live broadcasters who may want to have an audio source in their mix but don't want to hear it in their monitor audio. This is used frequently when a video producer does not want to hear themselves in their audio setup.
Social media integration is a great way to encourage viewers to interact with your live broadcast. Wirecast 7 allows for easy Twitter integration.
Let's test your knowledge of Wirecast with a Quiz!
In this lecture we will review the options for recording your video production.
In this lecture we will demonstrate streaming with wirecast. We will set up a test stream with YouTube and Facebook to demonstrate how easy these platforms are to work with inside Wirecast.
Instant replay and ISO recording and advanced features that professional broadcasters use frequently. Instant replay is used commonly with sports and it allows broadcasters to replay a piece video that was live only moments ago. ISO recording is used for "Isolated Recordings" of individual inputs that are commonly used in post production.
Using Virtual Sets are a great way to host live shows using a green screen. We will demonstrate how to apply a chroma key to your video layer and add that video into a virtual set.
Ever wonder how the major television networks such as QVC and HSN create their infomercials? They have taken ability to sell over video and turned it into an art. Well here at PTZOptics we decided to break down the magic and create a free download kit for our customers to learn exactly how they can use the formula with their own products and services.
Sound too good to be true? Well it’s not just a magic formula… There is a complete culture shift happening today in regards to how the world is consuming media. It’s happened once before in the 1950’s when the world started to leave radio for television. Now in the first part of the 21st century we are seeing consumers leave traditional television media and move to internet-based video consumption.
In the following presentation we are going to show you how to create videos like QVC and provide you with a FREE download of the resources you need to get started. First, we start with a high quality video image of your talent. You can use a green screen, a virtual set, or simply a clean office background. It’s important that this base layer is done properly, because this is where your talent will perform.
On top of your talent layer, we start to build out the QVC style with a side bar and lower third. The sidebar includes all the basic information about your product as your talent goes into more detail during your video. The lower third can include anything you want, but generally it includes contact information and/or a call to action such as your 1-800 number.
Rinse, Wash, Repeat…
The beauty of this system is that once you have built your template you can simply reload your graphics and start all over again. The basic workflow would be as follows:
Get Attention - Introduce yourself with enthusiasm
Identify the Problem - Introduction to the product
Agitate the Problem - Product Presentation
Identify the Solution - Make your Value Add Proposition
Outro Video - Call to Action
Reviews… Facts… Social Proof (If you have it use it!)
Using Wirecast's "Virtual Webcam" feature allows you to bring anything in Wirecast into Skype (or other video conferencing platforms). This allows you to make amazing presentation via video conferencing with the power of Wirecast. You can also use this feature to host your own talk show which we will cover in the next video.
In this video we review how to host your own live talk show with video conferencing software like Skype or GoToMeeting. There is a how to guide PDF below as well. This video focuses on a WIndows application. If you are using a Mac you may want to use our guide below with a secondary PC.
This plugin is free for everyone that takes this course. If you are interested in using this just send me a message and I can send you the latest version of this plugin.
