Description

Between 80% and 90% of information is retained by listeners if delivered by a trained voice as opposed to only 40% if delivered by an untrained voice.

I have had a website for nearly twenty years and in all that time my most popular page has always been the voice exercise page so I have decided to bring it to life.

This course focuses totally on voice exercises for most of the vowel and consonant sounds made in English. I will show you how they should be made, what shape yor mouth should be, where your tongue should be and you will hear what they should sound like.

Most bad speech is caused by laziness or lack of knowledge.

I have been teaching since 1994 and these exercises have been created over the years to help people with specific sounds.

Who is the target audience?
  • This course is for people who need to or want to improve their speaking skills. This could be because they have been told they mumble or maybe they just feel anxious when they have to speak to groups of people or just one or two individuals. It is for people already familiar with English, either as their first language or as an additional language.
  • This course does not teach English grammar or English as an additional language.

Voice Confidence Coach

I qualified in 1994 as an elocution teacher. Since then I've taught lecturers at Bournemouth University, trainee doctors for the NHS, sports coaches, business people, tele sales personnel, health care workers, stroke victims, at schools and with national charities. I specialize in one to one private lessons for children and adults and workshops for businesses. In June 2014 I gained my F.V.C.M.(Hons) .I've also written articles for various magazines worldwide, an academic paper and have published three books about speaking with confidence.
