Section 1: Introduction and Theory

I will take you back to when the Lumiere brothers shot a scene from the back of a train, we will talk about the first "panning shots". You will also get to know other pioneers such as D.W.Griffith who invented the first close-up shot and Georges Melies who directed a produce hundreds of short films. And of-course you will learn all about the film and editing techniques that were developed during the years.



Section 2: Pre Production and Storytelling

In this lecture we will go over the fundamentals of storytelling.

Stories have been shared in every culture. In order to write a good story we should  use a number of artistic elements. A good storyline includes a structure with beginnings, middle and end. And of course, we must also focus on characters and on our hero. All of which will translate into a storyboard for the making of our movie.

We will talk about the ways we can translate our stories to the digital media  and the process of sharing our creative work with others, using today's new technologies such as - YouTube and Vimeo.

Camera and photography basic principles. In this lecture we will be going through the concept of exposure, right from the beginning. After this lecture you'll understand the core concepts of photography.

Yarin Goren, A Cinematographer and A Filmmaker

While being very young I discovered the beauty and the power of the light the shines from the sun,it bounce all around us and sets different modes and energy and I love it.

I traveled to Australia 10 years ago and started my career back than when I enrolled to film school, I made light my occupation my passion and my career. Since than I'm traveling and filming all around the world and I had the privilege to work on big film productions and on small videos, each one was an experience to remember.
