Buckwheat is a favorite grain for making burgers, because it cooks quickly and has a great shape and texture for burgers. If you can't find it, though, this recipe is just as nice made with millet or short-grain brown rice.

These burgers have a wonderful texture from chickpeas, and a rich flavor with sweet and savory. They are excellent topped with sliced pickles.

Using tamari (or soy sauce) in a burger really increases the savory flavor, which can make it really appealing to tastebuds--particularly ones that are used to the savory flavor of meat. This recipe is perfect for making into burgers, meatballs, or even a loaf!

These burgers are based on chickpeas, which have a perfect texture for burgers. I'll show you the right ratio of ingredients to put together to make perfect burgers every time – plus some tips on saving time.

These burgers have so much flavor and nutrition on their own that they can stand alone as a meal. I usually pair them with a salad, and they remind me of chili in burger form.

These are the easiest option for making a veggie burger, and are a fantastic choice to take to a last minute BBQ. You may get some meat eaters interested, so take some extras!

Spiced Lentil Burgers
Beets pair with cooked millet and fresh mint for brightness in flavor and color.
This is a simple but classic recipe, that may become your go-to on nights when you don't know what to make. It's perfect served as a patty, along with a salad and mashed potatoes.

Who says veggie burgers have to be made of beans? This was inspired by bubble and squeak patties, and would be perfect for brunch or dinner.
