Instructor Biography

Jennifer Lannon, Certified Holistic Nutritionist, FDN

I've been in the health and wellness field since 2003! Very soon after high school I decided to go to massage school to pursue a career in massage therapy which opened many doors for me. While in massage school, (Mueller College of Holistic Studies in San Diego) I was first introduced to the topic of nutrition. Nutrition intrigued me from then on out. I thought it was amazing that food is so powerfully healing, yet so many people are suffering.

In my senior year of high school, I lost my brother to cancer and it really opened my eyes to the flaws in western medicine. I began researching natural health, wellness and the capability of food as medicine. I decided that I needed to know more. I went on to get my Bachelor of Science Degree in Holistic Nutrition from Clayton College of Natural Health. I've also been certified in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition which has changed the way I view health and nutrition dramatically. I act as a health detective to investigate the true root cause of people's health conditions and I do that with functional lab testing. When there are malfunctions in the body, the body is in dis-ease. When those functions are restored, the body's innate healing capabilities take over. My goal is to help as many people as possible find the real reasons why they are sick and then guide them back to vibrant health!

After working as the Lead Massage Therapist at a very busy Golf Resort and Casino for nine years, I was presented with the opportunity to have my own wellness spa with my Aunt as my business partner and co-owner. We now successfully run our own wellness spa Riviera Wellness Spa in Ramona, CA. We do massage therapy, skin care, manicures and pedicures, body treatments, airbrush tanning, nutritional counseling and spa packages. It's been a rewarding experience and continues to be.
