Val Margarit, Ed.D

Val Margarit is an award-winning educational leader, college professor, speaker, and author. For over 16 years, Val has been teaching and inspiring countless of people to transform their personal and professional lives via her teachings, seminars, training, books, and coaching.

Val's journey wasn't easy. Growing up on a farm without money or indoor plumbing, only two channels black and white television set, life for Val was challenging.  When she learned that her mom grew up in poverty and she didn't go to school, Val decided to change her family's legacy. Since then her focus has been on education and helping others achieve personal empowerment and self fulfillment.  The self-exploration journey transformed Val's life from working on a farm, to moving across the globe, learning English, working multiple jobs and eventually earning several degrees. She became an educational leader to help others, especially those from underserved communities, to achieve an education, which she believes is the foundation to pursuing and living a successful, fulfilling life.  After all "achieving success  has less to do with genetics and everything to do with how you think about and live your life - the habits, self-discipline, resilience, effort, hard work, and mindsets." 

Val earned a Doctorate in higher education leadership and a Educational Specialist degree from Nova Southeastern University, and a Master's, and Bachelor's degree in sociology and minor in political science from University of Central Florida. 

Val's love for  travel and exploring new cultures expands over 35 countries she visited thus far.
